Description
Einrichtung zum Schutze gegen Rückzündungen in 1Vletalldampfentladungsröhren, insbesondere in Quecksilberdampfgleichrichtern. Die vorliegende Erfindung gibt eine Ein richtung an, womit das Rückzünden von mit Wechselspannung betriebenen Metall dampfentladungsröhren vermieden wird. Die Schutzwirkung der nachstehend beschriebenen Einrichtung wurde durch Versuche festge stellt.
Die beiliegende schematische Figur zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegen standes. 1 ist das Entladungsgefäss und 2 eine Anode, die durch den Isolator 3 gegen das Gefäss 1 isoliert ist. 4 ist die Anoden hülse, die in bekannter Weise zum Schutze der Anode gegen die aufsteigenden Metall dämpfe Angebracht ist. 5 ist ein metallenes Gitter, das in die Anodenhülse 4, und zwar praktisch mit einigen Millimeter Abstand vom Anodenkopf weg, isoliert eingelegt, bei ö isoliert aus der Hülse 4 ausgeführt und vermittelst eines Widerstandes 7 mit dem Gefäss 1 verbunden ist. 8 ist die am (-'rleich- richtergefäss isoliert angebrachte Kathode.
Da es sich meist um Entladungsgefässe mit mehreren Anoden handelt, können ent weder alle Anodengitter miteinander verbun den und der Verbindungspunkt direkt oder über einen Widerstand 7 mit dem Gehäuse verbunden werden, oder es kann die Anord nung im Sinne der Figur durch die Verbin dung jedes einzelnen Gitters mit dem Gefäss durchgeführt werden. Eine andere Anordnung, die ebenfalls in Frage kommt und denselben Zweck erfüllt, besteht darin, dass man die Gitter anstatt an das Gefäss an irgend einen leitenden Schirm legt, der mit dem Metall dampf in enger Berührung, hingegen vom direkten Einfluss durch das Feld der von den Anoden ausgehenden Feldlinien durch die Anodenhülsen elektrisch geschützt ist.
Dieser letzte Fall kommt in erster Linie für Glas gefässe in Frage, während die vorher genann ten Anordnungen sich besonders für Metall gefässe eignen. Es könnten pro Anodenhülse auch mehrere Gitter 5 vorgesehen sein.
