Self-closing lock. The lock forming the object of the present invention comprises an internal mechanism composed of a bundle of springs capable of assuming a predetermined shape in order to be able to pass through an opening, previewed in a diaphragm and to relax after this passage thus preventing the separation of the two parts, this separation being obtainable only by means of the bit of a key by the action of which the bundle of springs takes the aforesaid predetermined shape.
Thanks to this arrangement, the internal mechanism can be varied very easily so that very different types of lock can be created, and a fraudulent opening of this lock is made impossible.
In addition, this lock offers the possibility of serial work with much greater economy than other known types of locks. An embodiment of the object of the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing, in which: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section of the lock mechanism; Fig. 2 is a plan view of FIG. 1; Figs. 3 and 4 show an elevation and a plan view of the spring harness and its support; Figs. 5 and 6 show an elevation and a plan view of the key.
In the drawing, a designates a support (fig. 1) on the end of which is fixed a bundle of springs c, the other end of which is free and capable of taking under the action of a tightening exerted by the pan neton e 'of a key e a predetermined shape by an orifice <I> d' </I> of said bit; <I> f </I> is a diaphragm provided with an orifice d having a shape corresponding to that of resources under contraction; as we see in the drawing, the bit e 'of the key is placed perpendicularly é. the CD action line of the key, and the hole in the key bit is similar to that in the diaphragm.
This key bit of the key is also provided with grooves g (fig. 2 and 6) coinciding with the shape of the hole for inserting the key. This hole for the insertion of the key is not located on the <I> CD </I> alignment of the spring harness, so that it is not possible to observe through this opening the shape of the spring harness.
In the closed position of the lock described, the two parts A and B of the lock are connected automatically because of the relaxation of the springs which takes place after their passage through the orifice d of the diaphragm f, while the opening of the lock, that is to say the removal of the two parts A and B from each other can only take place after tightening of the bundle of springs under the action of the key, this bundle spells taking a predetermined shape and allowing the springs to pass through the orifice d of the diaphragm f. This tightening action is produced by the key bit e 'of the inserted key e, which is slid along the support a of the spring bundle so that this beam is surrounded by the hole in the key bit.
