Equipment for the operation of stone presses. The present invention relates to a device for feeding stone presses. The novelty of this device is that the drive means, which push the freshly filled filling loads through the mold openings and return them to the rest position after emptying, give the filling box a gradually increased speed from the start of the stroke and gradually decreased towards the end of the stroke .
The drive means for the filling box can at the same time serve to give the finished pellets ejected from the mold openings the driver a gradually increased speed from the beginning of the stroke and a gradually decreased towards the end of the stroke, whereby the The blister itself can be arranged on the press table in such a way that, when the feed box begins to advance, it stands closely behind the compacts ejected from the mold openings.
The present invention enables a very high loading speed and thereby excludes any damage to the fresh pellets, so that the output of the stone presses provided with the new device is significantly increased.
An example of an embodiment of a loading device set up according to the invention is shown in the drawing on a hydraulic stone press.
Figure 1 is a vertical cross-section through the press; Fig. Z. is a cross section guided horizontally through the press above the press disc.
The press table a is fastened to the columns c, which connect the upper press cylinder d to the lower press cylinder e. In the press table a there are three Formöffnun conditions f. The filling box b rests in its outer rest position on an extension of the press table a projecting to the right. The filling box b is divided into three departments by two transverse walls z, which correspond to the three mold openings f of the press table.
The compartments of the filling box are open at the bottom: The bottom closure of the filling box is caused by the table surface on which the filling box b rests. To ensure the tight seal between table a and filling box b, this is held vertically displaceable between the frame parts g so that it rests on table a by its own weight.
The frame parts g are attached to the linkage h, which is guided in a straight line in the guides i, i . The movement of the linkage h is carried out by locking the link 1 and lever 1c by a schematically illustrated crank mechanism. The crank mechanism consists of the gear n sitting on the crankshaft and the rack o, which is driven by the piston of the hydraulic cylinder p. When the. Toothed rack o, the crank m is rotated by 180, that is, from the rear dead position 1 to the front dead position 2.
The crank m. is articulated by the push rod w with the lever k rotatably mounted at x .
The linkage 1z loads to the left into the press and carries at the end a cross arm q, which is firmly connected at its rear end by the bar z to the frame g. When the filling box b is in its outer rest position, the transverse arm q lies as close as possible behind the mold openings f so that the upper punches r can still pass it into the mold openings without hindrance. The transverse arm q serves as a driver for the finished pressed moldings tc ejected from the mold openings by the lower punches t.
In FIG. 1, the press is shown at the moment when, after retraction, the upper punches r , the lower punches t have ejected the finished compacts ac upwards out of the mold openings f . During the actual pressing process, the molding box b, which is in its outer rest position, was filled with molding compound, and each of the three compartments of the filling box contains the amount required for a pellet.
As soon as the ejection of the compacts, confused, cuts the surface of the lower punch flush with the surface of the press table, the piston y of the hydraulic cylinder p is moved upwards by pressure, the rack o sets the gear wheel n in rotation and the crank in of the crank gear rotates from the rear dead position 1 to the front dead position 2.
By arranging the push rod w, the lever 1c and the glue maker l the rod lt is shifted to the left against the press. Here, the transverse arm q hits the compacts ic shortly after the start of the feed movement and pushes them in front of it until they come to rest on the press table, which is extended to the left, outside the press, in the position marked u '.
The stroke s of the linkage is set up so that when the movement ends, when the crank is in the front dead position 2 in the crank mechanism, the openings below the filling box departments are just above the openings f.
The lower ram t are now lowered. The press compound resting on the lower press ram follows the movement of the press ram and slides out of the compartments of the filling box into the Formöff openings f. After loading the mold openings, the linkage h, by moving the crank Irr of the crank gear back into the rear dead center 1, until the filling box b has returned to its outer rest position and is ready for a new filling with molding compound.
The further pressing processes up to the ejection of the. finished pellets now take place in the manner described above.
As a result of the drive of the filling box 1 by the crank mechanism, the crank m of which is rotated from one dead point to the other, both the feed box f and the finished compacts begin to advance at a very low speed without jolting. The speed increases gradually from the beginning of the stroke to a maximum value approximately in the middle of the stroke and then gradually decreases again until the movement stops smoothly at the end of the stroke.
This type of movement of the filling box and the pellets enables the use of very high average speeds of the filling box and pellet carrier and thus previously unattainable short loading times.
In the hitherto customary manual displacement of the hopper, it is impossible to avoid sudden changes in speed during the stroke. The more the operator tries to work quickly, the more violently the movement of the filling box is initiated and suddenly stopped by a stop when it is positioned over the mold openings.
The pressing compound located in the filling box experiences a strong acceleration and the jerky stopping of the filling box at the end of the stroke causes the pressing material to move further in the filling box after its front side. In the case of the rather dry molding compound, which is composed of coarse and fine grains, deflation takes place in that (the coarse grains move more forward. In addition, there is an accumulation of material at the front end of the hopper. The result is an 'unequal moderate filling of the mold openings and poorly and unevenly pressed moldings.
The same lever mechanism drive the filling box with toggle presses is also used, from a sudden one. intermittent initiation and termination of the movement resulting in parts available.
Instead of using a crank mechanism, a gradually reduced speed towards the beginning and end of the stroke could also be brought about by engaging suitable cam disks, elliptical gears and the like in the drive linkage. However, the easiest and safest way to do this is through the. Invention desired sequence of the filling box movement achieve through the use of a crank mechanism described.
The pellets ejected from the mold opening can be removed by hand. The loss of time associated with this can, however, be avoided if the compacts resting on the lower ram, as described, are pushed out of the press by means of a special driver connected to this when the filling box is advanced, since in this case the compact with a gradually reduced speed towards the beginning and end of the stroke,
whereby a damage to the fresh and therefore sensitive pellets is avoided with certainty despite the high average speed.
To initiate the movement as smoothly as possible, it is necessary here for the compact to be carried along very soon after the start of the feed movement. Therefore, if the filling box is in its rest position close behind the mold openings:
, The pushing off of the pellets can also be effected by the filling box itself, but if, as is assumed in the example shown in the drawing, there is a greater distance between the mold openings and the external filling box, the advanced filling box would hit the Hit pellets. In this case it is therefore necessary to provide a special driver arranged as close as possible next to the mold openings,
which is moved together with the filling box at a gradually reduced speed towards the beginning and end of the stroke.
Since the upper punch must pass the driver with play, a small space between the compact and driver is inevitable at the start of the driver feed. The driver will therefore have a, but still very low, speed; when it hits the pellets. The harmful effects of the insignificant impact occurring here can be completely avoided by interposing felt plates or the like.
At the end of the feed movement, the pellets finally come to rest outside the press and can be easily removed during the further pressing processes.
