  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Wismutsalzes    einer     merkurierten,    organischen,       I    einen Säurerest enthaltenden Verbindung.    Es wurde gefunden,     dass    man zu einer  therapeutisch wichtigen, gleichzeitig Queck  silber und Wismut enthaltenden Verbindung  gelangen kann, wenn man     Merkuriphenyl-          chinolinkarbonsäure    in Form ihrer     Alkalisalze     mit     Wistnutsalzen    zusammenbringt. Der Ge  halt an Quecksilber schwankt<B>je</B> nach der  Menge der angewandten Komponenten.

   Die  neue Verbindung zeichnet sich durch eine  kräftige Wirkung bei Syphilis aus und ist  weniger giftig, als nach ihrem Gehalt an       merkurierter    Verbindung erwartet werden  sollte.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  4,8     gr    des     Natriumsalzes    der     Oxyrnerkuri-2-          phenylchinolin-4-eai,bonsaLire        (D.R.P.   <B>289246)</B>  werden mit der erforderlichen Menge Wasser  in Lösung gebracht Lind mit     3,15        gr    Wismut-         chlorid,    gelöst in<B>5</B>     cem    konzentrierter Salz  säure und 20     ccm    Wasser, versetzt.

<B>PATENTANSPRUCH:</B> Verfahren zur Darstellung des Wismut- salzes der Merkuriphenylchinolinkarbonsäure, darin bestehend, dass man Oxymerkuriphenyl- chinolinkarbonsäure in Form ihrer Alkalisalze mitWismutsalzen zusammenbringt. Der Gehalt des Präparates an Quecksilber und Wismut schwankt<B>je</B> nach der Menge der angewandten Komponenten. Das neue Produkt zeichnet sich durch eine kräftige Wirkung bei Syphilis ans und ist weniger giftig, als nach seinem Gehalt an merkurierter Verbindung erwartet werden sollte. <B> PATENT CLAIM: </B> Process for the preparation of the bismuth salt of mercury phenylquinoline carboxylic acid, consisting in combining oxymerkuriphenyl quinoline carboxylic acid in the form of its alkali metal salts with bismuth salts.
