Abstract
Description
DIGUE D'EAU
l'affaissement des contenants; le risque d'éclatement des contenants sous la pression;
File 3 174 658 Technical area The technical field concerns the erection of dikes or other protections temporary during natural flooding.
State of the art During floods, the most commonly used defense method is to stack sandbags to form a sort of protective wall. The bags sand are heavy enough to resist the thrust of the water, they are flexible enough to settle down to the ground and mold to each other. The main characteristics of sandbags are therefore weight, flexibility and, when arranged correctly, this who is not always the case, a certain tightness. This technique is, however, very laborious.
It constitutes a real chore, requiring a large number of speakers, considerable efforts and coordination. Very often this technique is SO
inapplicable, either due to the distances between the delivery access point sand and sector to be protected; either due to lack of labor; either due to lack of time For put everything in place. Many attempts have been made to replace the sand as a basic element by water which, obviously, is already there. But the difficulty which has still not been resolved to this day is that of the container. If the containers are rigid, they cannot lie perfectly on the ground or mold to one another the other and cannot therefore, even under ideal conditions, form an effective barrier against flooding. Attempts to use flexible containers, such as bags or tubes were even more numerous. Here we face several difficulties :
sagging of containers; the risk of containers bursting under the pressure;
the union between the bags or tubes as soon as there is a length more than a few meters to protect; etc.
Date received/Date received 2024-02-21 Description The invention consists of a device forming a temporary dam of protection against natural flooding. More precisely, the invention is presented under the shape of a series of flat-bottomed bags, rectangular in shape, with straps, a in front and a behind, in which, in each unit, a rigid container has been introduced. THE
rigid containers, tubular in shape and ending at the top with a neck, exceed the height of the flexible bags. Each bag will be hung on the containing rigid that it contains by its straps passed over the neck.
Let us specify that the flexible bags are connected to each other by seams, or other means, so that form a chain, or rosary. Rigid containers are united by flat slats having an oval hole at each end which encircles the neck of a container the other playing the role of the flat piece of a patent mesh, like on a chain of bicycle, by example, and which thus connect each unit so as to form a structure keep on going. In summary, the flexible bags are connected to each other, each is hooked by her straps to its rigid container; the rigid containers are joined to each other by the slats removable. All that remains is to fill the rigid containers with water. Then fill in the flexible bags. Here we have what we could call a dike water, easy to put in place and which will ensure perfectly waterproof protection in the most of natural flooding situations. Soft bags filled with water will tackle ground and will mold to each other better than bags filled with sand. THE
containers rigid, also filled with water and joined to each other by the lamellae, will ensure stability of the structure. The primary function of rigid containers is to maintain the flexible bags, attached by the straps, in place and straight. But also, as they are introduced into the bags, this has the effect of reducing the amount of water necessary to fill said bags and the effect will be to reduce the amount pressure of water on the side of the bags which might otherwise split or to burst. There pressure exerted by the water in the bags must be great enough so that they mold one to the other to truly form a waterproof wall. But too much pressure strong would put at risk the resistance of the materials.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, the first and last sachets flexible of a series or section will be equipped with fasteners at the front and the back allowing the bags to be tied, first and last, to ensure of the
Dans les dessins qui illustrent l'invention, la FIGURE 1 est une vue de face ou d'arrière d'une section de quatre unités reliées du dispositif selon la présente invention;
la FIGURE 2 est une vue côté d'une unité isolée du dispositif servarl à former ladite Digue d'eau;
la FIGURE 3 est une vue en plan d'une section de quatre unités reliées avec un contenant rigide supplémentaire à l'arrière;
la FIGURE 4a présente un des éléments de base du dispositif pour la fabrication de ladite Digue d'eau : sachet souple étanchéifié;
la FIGURE 4b présente un des éléments de base du dispositif pour la fabrication de ladite Digue d'eau : contenant rigide;
la FIGURE 4c présente un des éléments de base du dispositif pour la fabrication de ladite Digue d'eau : lamelles rigides;
Les contenants rigides sont reliés l'un à l'autre par des lamelles plates 6. 2 Date received/Date received 2024-02-21 continuity of the said dike without fault or risk of water infiltration flooding between two sections.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, rigid containers filled with water, without a flexible bag, can be added behind the said dam, connected by slats to the containers of the first line to add even more solidity and stability to the entire device.
In the drawings which illustrate the invention, FIGURE 1 is a front or rear view of a section of four units linked from device according to the present invention;
FIGURE 2 is a side view of an isolated unit of the server device to be formed said Water dike;
FIGURE 3 is a plan view of a section of four units connected with a containing additional rigidity at the rear;
FIGURE 4a presents one of the basic elements of the device for manufacturing of said Water dam: flexible sealed bag;
FIGURE 4b presents one of the basic elements of the device for manufacturing of said Water dike: rigid container;
FIGURE 4c presents one of the basic elements of the device for manufacturing of said Water dike: rigid lamellae;
FIGURE 5 is a front or rear view with the clips attached to the first and last bags to connect two series or sections.
Referring to the drawings, in Figure 1, we will see that the device 1 is made of flexible waterproof bags filled with water 2 also comprising two straps 3, one in front and one behind, which cling, passing over them, to the necks 5 of the rigid containers 4 also filled with water, which are shaped cylindrical on almost all their height, then in the shape of an inverted funnel to end with a neck 4. Rigid containers are connected to each other by slats flat 6.
Cela ajoute à la stabilité de la 3 Date received/Date received 2024-02-21 Referring to Figure 2, we will have a side view of an isolated unit. THE
soft bag waterproofed filled with water 2 constitutes a completely waterproof barrier against the water coming from flooded zone 7. The rigid container 4, also filled of water, being higher adds weight to the ground and thus stability to the entire device. Also, by the straps, it keeps the flexible bag, even once filled with water, well right.
Referring to the following drawing, Figure 3 is a plan view of the device. Four units are connected on a curved line. The device can in fact be implemented place, according to needs, so as to form a dike on a straight, curved or even sinuous. HAS
at the rear, a fifth rigid container 8 also filled with water was added be linked by slats 6 to the containers of the first line. This adds to the stability of the
Date reçue/Date received 2024-02-21 4 dike, when necessary. For example, when there are water movements or waves coming from flooded zone 7 caused by strong winds or the passage of vehicles, nautical or other.
The main components of the device, apart from water, are illustrated on Figures 4a, 4b and 4c. In 4a, a three-dimensional view of a flexible sachet of polyethylene waterproof 2 with its front and rear straps. Figure 4b illustrates the rigid container 4 ending in a neck 5. Four slats are illustrated in 4c. With their holes each end, they are similar to the flat piece of a patent mesh.
The holes, slightly oval in shape, leaves room for maneuver in the positioning rigid containers, especially when the ground is not perfectly flat.
The flexible bags are connected to each other by sewing or other process equivalent, so as to form a rosary constituting a series, or section. A series, or section, can count ten, twenty, thirty units and even more. The first and last sachets flexible of a series have fasteners 9 in front and behind allowing them to be relate securely to each other, as shown in Figure 5.
