Abstract

When ATVs or snowmobiles are taken for rides during the winter, the riders' helmet visors must be heated to prevent them from steaming up. To supply them with energy, they are connected to the vehicle by means of connection wires. However, sometimes people get off the vehicle without thinking to disconnect these wires beforehand; not doing so causes a breakdown in the connections. This invention solves this problem by proposing magnetic connectors that facilitate the connection and disconnection of electrical accessories on off-road vehicles such as snowmobiles and ATVs, side by side, while avoiding accidental damage to the plugs to which they are connected. The magnetic connectors come in pairs. A male RCA plug is connected to a female socket and a female RCA plug is also connected to a male socket. The centre of the sockets is equipped with a conductor that lets the current flow through.

Cette innovation relève du domaine des accessoires pour VTT, motoneiges et autres véhicules du genre, pour les visières chauffantes de casques et autres accessoires.
Les randonnées en VTT ou en motoneige en saison hivernale demandent que les visières soient chauffantes pour éviter qu'elles ne s'embuent.
Pour les alimenter en énergie, on les relie au véhicule au moyen de fils munis de connexions à
cet effet. Cependant, il arrive que l'on s'arrête et qu'on sorte du véhicule sans penser à
débrancher ces fils au préalable, ce qui entraîne la rupture des connexions.
Il faut alors remplacer les fils.
Les visières sont reliées aux véhicules par des fils dotés d'une prise RCA
mâle droit à une extrémité(fig.1) et d'une prise RCA mâle 90 à l'autre extrémité(fig.2).
Si on oublie de se déconnecter en sortant du véhicule, on peut endommager les prises et il faut alors remplacer le fil. Par ailleurs, pour se brancher, il faut souvent retirer les gants, ce qui devient une source potentielle d'engelure.
L'inventeur a mis au point des connecteurs magnétiques pour régler le problème. Il suffit d'approcher les connecteurs l'un de l'autre pour que le contact se fasse et que le courant passe.
Si on oublie de se déconnecter en quittant le véhicule, la déconnexion se fait d'elle-même sans endommager les connecteurs et les prises.
L'invention consiste en une prise RCA mâle 90 (fig.2) reliée à un aimant femelle(fig.3) et une prise RCA mâle droit(fig.1) reliée à un aimant mâle(fig.3). Le centre des aimants est doté d'un élément conducteur, ce qui laisse passer le courant. Il y a aussi une petite lumière L.E.D. sur l'aimant mâle pour indiquer qu'il y a de l'alimentation.
On branche la prise RCA mâle droit à la visière chauffante. On branche ensuite la prise RCA
mâle 90 au véhicule. La force des aimants exerce une attraction de 1800 gf, ce qui est amplement suffisant pour assurer la liaison entre les deux connecteurs.
Si on oublie de se débrancher en quittant le véhicule, les deux aimants se séparent, ce qui a pour effet de protéger les prises du fil qui relie l'accessoire au véhicule.
De même, pour se connecter, il suffit d'approcher les deux aimants l'un de l'autre pour que la connexion s'établisse, ce qui prévient les engelures car l'utilisateur n'a pas besoin d'enlever ses gants ou mitaines pour reconnecter sa visière.
