Abstract
A micro green product that enables one to grow micro greens without the use of any growing media..
Micro greens are characterized as baby plants with two leaves present that are harvested at a height of about one to three inches. The perforated screen micro green grower non-circulating hydroponic system enables growing micro greens using a semi rigid perforated material to act as a platform for the micro greens to grow on. The seeds germinate with roots entering the perforations and this platform provides support for the micro greens to grow in a vertical direction

Description
DESCRIPTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
= [0001]
The present invention relates in general to an improved method for growing micro green without the use of a grow media. More particularly, the invention relates to a perforated screen device that fits into an impervious container and is capable of positioning and acting as a grow media for micro greens BACKGROUND ART
O [0002]
This section describes the background art of the disclosed embodiment of the present invention. There is no intention, either express or implied, that the background art discussed in this section legally constitutes prior art.
O [0003]
Micro greens also called microgreens, are edible greens produced from various kinds of herb or vegetable seeds. They range in size from 1 to 3 inches including the stem and leaves. Relative to their size they are robust in taste.
= [0004]
Micro greens are used in many ways, such as garnishes and for plating in food services. Micro greens flavor and appearance provide many uses for the culinary arts. They are also very healthy as they are from the vegetable food category.
[0005]
Micro greens history can be traced to the 1980s where they first appeared in restaurants in the San Francisco area subsequently they have been produced in the United States. Many varieties are grown such as daikon, sunflower, broccoli and mustard. Micro greens are very small and characterized as delicate and highly perishable.
= [0006]
The current methods for growing the micro greens is a non-circulating hydroponic system all require a grow media such as rockwool, vermiculite, coconut coir and peat. These media can be processed into mat and pellet configurations. The grow media is then supported to stay above the water line.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
= [0007]
These and further and other objects and features of the invention are apparent in the disclosure, which includes the above and ongoing written specification, with the claims and the drawings.
In order to better understand the invention embodiments of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a side view illustration that shows the micro green grower non-circulating hydroponic system with the semi rigid perforated material to act as a platform for the micro greens to grow on.
FIG. 2 is a top view illustration of that shows the micro green grower non-circulating hydroponic system with the semi rigid perforated material to act as a platform for the micro greens to grow on.
