Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of wireless communications technologies, and disclose a method, and an apparatus. In the embodiments of the present invention, after completing execution of an audit flow, a target slave homing radio network controller does not need to determine an audit response message, and does also not initiate a logical cell deleting flow to a base station, but directly sends, to the base station, a cell setup request message carrying a logical cell parameter and indication information used to indicate that the message is triggered due to switching of a control right of a base station, so that the base station can set up a new logical cell according to the message, which solves the problem that the resident user equipment shows off network.

Description

METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING
SWITCHING OF CONTROL RIGHT OF BASE STATION
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of wireless communications technologies, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus and a system for processing switching of a control right of a base station.
BACKGROUND
[0002] In a WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access, wideband code division multiple access) radio access network, an RNC (Radio Network Controller, radio network controller) is a control center of an RNS (Radio Network Subsystem, radio network subsystem), and controls wireless access services of all UEs (User Equipment, user equipment) in an entire coverage area of the RNS, and therefore, it is required that the RNC has high reliability.
[0003] The prior art provides an RNC cluster technology, which may significantly improve the reliability of the RNC. A network architecture of an RNS using the technology is, for example, as shown in FIG 1, where each NodeB (base station) connects to a master homing RNC and a slave homing RNC through its respective Iub interface. A solid line indicates that an RNC connected to a NodeB is the master homing RNC which has a control right of the NodeB, while a dotted line indicates that an RNC connected to a NodeB is the slave homing RNC which only sets up a physical connection with the NodeB and does not control the NodeB.
[0004] When the master homing RNC is faulty and cannot effectively control the NodeB, the master homing RNC may negotiate with the slave homing RNC, and determines to switch a control right of each NodeB controlled by the master homing RNC from the master homing RNC to a certain slave homing RNC, that is, a target slave homing RNC. Subsequently, the master homing RNC instructs the NodeB to delete a logical cell on the NodeB, and then the target slave homing RNC instructs the NodeB to set up a new logical cell on the NodeB, so as to complete switching of the control right of the NodeB.
[0005] In a process of implementing the foregoing switching of the control right of the base station, a resident UE in coverage of the NodeB may monitor a signal sent by a pilot channel and receive a system message through a broadcast channel, and then display signal strength, operator information and the like on an interface of the UE according to the received signal and system message. Because configuration parameters of the pilot channel and the broadcast channel are saved in the logical cell, if the logical cell on the NodeB is deleted, it may cause that the resident UE in the coverage of the NodeB fails to receive the foregoing signal and system message, and the interface of the resident UE can normally redisplay the signal strength, the operator information and the like until a new pilot channel and a new broadcast channel are established during re-setup of a logical cell. Therefore, during a period of time after the logical cell is deleted and before a logical cell is re-setup, the resident UE
shows off network.
SUMMARY
[0006] Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, an apparatus and a system for processing switching of a control right of a base station, so as to solve a problem that in a process of switching a control right of a base station, a resident UE in coverage of the base station shows off network.
[0007] In one aspect, a method for processing switching of a control right of a base station is provided and includes: executing, by the base station, an audit flow; receiving, by the base station, a cell setup request message sent by a target slave homing radio network controller (RNC), where the cell setup request message carries a logical cell parameter and indication information used to indicate that the cell setup request message is triggered due to the switching of the control right of the base station; setting up, by the base station, a new logical cell according to the indication information and the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message; and sending, by the base station, a cell setup success message to the target slave homing RNC.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
[0023] The following clearly and completely describes the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present invention. Apparently, the described embodiments are merely a part rather than all of the embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments obtained by a person of ordinary skill in the art based on the embodiments of the present invention without creative efforts shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Embodiment 1
[0024] This embodiment provides a method for processing switching of a control right of a base station, where as shown in FIG 2, the method includes the following steps.
[0025] 201: A target slave homing RNC executes an audit flow.
[0026] Specifically, after a master homing RNC determines to switch a control right of a base station to the target slave homing RNC, the target slave homing RNC executes the audit flow, where the flow includes that the target slave homing RNC sends an audit request (Audit request) message to a base station; and the base station sends an audit response (Audit response) message to the target slave homing RNC according to the Audit request message. The audit response message and the audit request message are messages for obtaining information of the base station to know configuration of the base station before the target slave homing RNC prepares to receive the control right of the base station. The audit response message carries local cell information and a logical cell parameter of the base station.
[0027] 202: The target slave homing RNC sends a cell setup request message to the base station, where the cell setup request message carries a logical cell parameter and indication information used to indicate that the message is triggered due to switching of the control right of the base station.

Embodiment 2

radio access network, and the method includes the following steps.

Embodiment 3
[0044] This embodiment provides a method for processing switching of a control right of a base station, where as shown in FIG 4, the method includes the following steps.
[0045] 401: Perform a negotiation flow for switching of a control right of a base station between a master homing RNC and a target slave homing RNC.

may receive the control right of the base station after the negotiation flow for switching, the certain slave homing RNC becomes the target slave homing RNC.

Claims (19)

CLAIMS:
1. A method for processing switching of a control right of a base station from a master homing radio network controller (RNC) to a target slave homing RNC, the method comprising:
executing, by the base station, an audit flow;
receiving, by the base station, a cell setup request message sent by the target slave homing RNC, wherein the cell setup request message carries a logical cell parameter and indication information used to indicate that the cell setup request message is triggered due to the switching of the control right of the base station;
setting up, by the base station, a new logical cell according to the indication information and the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message; and sending, by the base station, a cell setup success message to the target slave homing RNC.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the setting up, by the base station, the new logical cell according to the indication information and the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message comprises:
if the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is completely consistent with a logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, reserving, by the base station, the logical cell parameter saved locally; or if a physical channel power parameter in the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is inconsistent with a physical channel power parameter in the logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, modifying, by the base station, the physical channel power parameter saved locally to the physical channel power parameter carried in the cell setup request message, so as to set up the new logical cell; or if a frequency point parameter in the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is inconsistent with a frequency point parameter in the logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, and a scrambling code parameter in the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is inconsistent with a scrambling code parameter in the logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, deleting, by the base station, a local logical cell, and then setting up the new logical cell according to the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message.
3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein before the receiving, by the base station, the cell setup request message sent by the target slave homing RNC, the method further comprises:
deleting, by the base station, common channel information saved locally.
4. The method according to claim 3, wherein after the sending, by the base station, the cell setup success message to the target slave homing RNC, the method further comprises:
establishing, by the base station, a new common channel; and executing, by the base station, a system message updating flow.
5. The method according to claim 4, wherein the executing, by the base station, the system message updating flow comprises:
receiving, by the base station, a system message update request message from the target slave homing RNC, wherein the system message update request message carries a system message used to replace a system message saved by the base station; and replacing, by the base station, the system message saved locally with the system message carried in the system message update request message.
6. A method for processing switching of a control right of a base station from a master homing radio network controller (RNC) to a target slave homing RNC, the method comprising:
executing, by the target slave homing RNC, an audit flow;
sending, by the target slave homing RNC, a cell setup request message to the base station, wherein the cell setup request message carries a logical cell parameter and indication information used to indicate that the cell setup request message is triggered due to the switching of the control right of the base station; and receiving, by the target slave homing RNC, a cell setup success message sent by the base station after the base station sets up a new logical cell according to the indication information and the logical cell parameter.
7. The method according to claim 6, wherein before the executing, by the target slave homing RNC, the audit flow, the method further comprises:
performing a negotiation flow for switching of the control right of the base station between the master homing RNC and the target slave homing RNC.
8. The method according to claim 6 or 7, wherein after the receiving, by the target slave homing RNC, the cell setup success message sent by the base station after the base station sets up the new logical cell, the method further comprises:
initiating, by the target slave homing RNC, a common channel establishing flow to the base station, so as to instruct the base station to establish a new common channel on the base station; and initiating, by the target slave homing RNC, a system message updating flow to the base station.
9. The method according to claim 8, wherein the initiating, by the target slave homing RNC, the system message updating flow to the base station comprises:

sending, by the target slave homing RNC, a system message update request message to the base station, wherein the system message update request message carries a system message used to replace a system message saved by the base station.
10. A base station, comprising:
an auditing module, configured to execute an audit flow;
a receiving module, configured to receive a cell setup request message sent by a target slave homing radio network controller (RNC), wherein the cell setup request message carries a logical cell parameter and indication information used to indicate that the cell setup request message is triggered due to switching of a control right of the base station from a master homing RNC to the target slave homing RNC;
a cell setup module, configured to set up a new logical cell according to the indication information and the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message;
and a notifying module, configured to send a cell setup success message to the target slave homing RNC.
11. The base station according to claim 10, wherein the cell setup module comprises:
a comparing unit, configured to determine whether a logical cell parameter saved locally is consistent with the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message; and a cell setup unit, configured to: when the comparing unit determines that the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is completely consistent with the logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, reserve, by the base station, the logical cell parameter saved locally; or, when the comparing unit determines that a physical channel power parameter in the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is inconsistent with a physical channel power parameter in the logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, modify, by the base station, the physical channel power parameter saved locally to the physical channel power parameter carried in the cell setup request message, so as to set up the new logical cell; or, when the comparing unit determines that a frequency point parameter in the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is inconsistent with a frequency point parameter in the logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, and a scrambling code parameter in the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message is inconsistent with a scrambling code parameter in the logical cell parameter saved locally by the base station, delete, by the base station, a local logical cell, and then set up the new logical cell according to the logical cell parameter carried in the cell setup request message.
12. The base station according to claim 10 or 11, further comprising:
a channel deleting module, configured to delete common channel information saved locally.
13. The base station according to claim 12, further comprising:
a channel establishing module, configured to establish a new common channel;
and a system message update module, configured to execute a system message updating flow.
14. The base station according to claim 13, wherein the system message update module comprises:
a receiving unit, configured to receive a system message update request message from the target slave homing RNC, wherein the system message update request message carries a system message used to replace a system message saved by the base station;
and an update unit, configured to replace the system message saved locally with the system message carried in the system message update request message.
15. A radio network controller, comprising:
an auditing module, configured to execute an audit flow;
a sending module, configured to send a cell setup request message to a base station, wherein the cell setup request message carries a logical cell parameter and indication information used to indicate that the cell setup request message is triggered due to switching of a control right of the base station to the radio network controller from a master homing radio network controller (RNC); and a receiving module, configured to receive a cell setup success message sent by the base station after the base station sets up a new logical cell according to the indication information and the logical cell parameter.
16. The radio network controller according to claim 15, further comprising:
a negotiating module, configured to perform a negotiation flow for the switching of the control right of the base station with the master homing RNC.
17. The radio network controller according to claim 15 or 16, further comprising:
a first indicating module, configured to initiate a common channel establishing flow to the base station, so as to instruct the base station to establish a new common channel on the base station; and a second indicating module, configured to initiate a system message updating flow to the base station.
18. The radio network controller according to claim 17, wherein the second indicating module comprises:

a sending unit, configured to send a system message update request message to the base station, wherein the system message update request message carries a system message used to replace a system message saved by the base station.
19. A
communication system, comprising the base station according to any one of claims 10 to 14 and the radio network controller according to any one of claims 15 to 18.
