Abstract

The wireless key with memorized acknowledgement is used on the key to lock or unlock the door or switch. The key is composed of two display, an antenna, two push button, a case and an embedded microcontroller, which is embedded a transceiver, controller, memory and DES encryption /decryption. After you push the button on the key to lock the door, the lock status(locked/unlocked) need to be transmitted back to the key to be memorized for indication. When the user forgets if he/she locks the door, he/she will press the "lock" or "unlock" button, the status stored on the memory will be displayed by the LED.

If more keys are used, and they are nearby, they will synchronize each other, and update the memory to display the latest status of the lock.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
DESCRIPTION
Field of the invention The invention pertains generally to wireless key entry system. The key is composed by two display, an antenna, two push bottom, a case and an embedded microcontroller, which is embedded the transceiver, controller, memory and DES encryption /decryption unit.
Background information and prior art After you locked your car door using the wireless key currently we used, you will forget if you lock the car or not after you go away. Sometimes, you may touch the "unlock" button accidentally and unlock the car while the key in your package after you locked the lock. At the end, you do not know if the car is locked or not.
Based on this situation, I designed the wireless key with memorized acknowledgement.
This application can be used on the lock in the house, apartment and garage.
Unlike the patent whose patent No is 2076922 (keyless entry system), my invention can indicate the lock is locked or not if he forget it when he/she is away from the lock.
That invention has no acknowledgement from the lock. It can not memorize the status of the lock.
Advantage and disadvantage Compared with the current used wireless key, this invention gives the user a lot of convenience. It can indicate the status of the lock any time the user want to know.

Page 2 of 2 Furthermore, current used keys can not lock the car out of the range of the eyes or ears to get the lock status, because they use the sound or light on the lock to acknowledge the user. But this invention can lock the car out of the range of the eyes and ears, because the user can get the lock status from the indication on the key.
The status of the lock is stored into the memory, so you can get the status information after you forget it.
With the encryption/decryption hardware embedded in the key, so it increases its security level. Furthermore, the key can be reprogrammed.
The disadvantage of it is that the cost of the key is a little higher, and it consumes more power to light the LED.
Applic anon The wireless key with acknowledgement can be used to lock cars, houses, apartments and garages.
Detailed Description of the invention To store the lock status, the key must have receiver to receive the data from its lock besides its transmitter. Second, the component must be as few as possible to make the key smaller. The third, there must be encryptionldecryption to improve the security level of wireless data transmitting. The last, the intercommunication between the keys is required to be synchronized to get the latest information from the lock, if there are more than one key for the lock.
The key is composed by the display, the antenna, the push bottom, case and the embedded microcontroller, which is composed by the transceiver, controller, memory Page 3 of 3 and DES encryption /decryption (Ref to figure 1 ). After the button is pushed, the command is transmitted out by RF wave in a frame of data from the key. The data frame contains starting frame symbol, the sender ID, receiver ID, time stamp, command and command result. The receiver on the lock gets the data, unpack it to get the command, the command is processed, the controller on the lock executes command, then sends the execution result back to the key to be memorized. When the user forgets if he/she lock the door, he/she will press the "lock" or "unlock"
button, the status stored on the memory will be displayed by the LED. There are two push buttons. One is for LOCK, one is for UNLOCK. There are two statuses. One is unlocked, and on is locked. The two statuses can be display by the two LED, one is in red to display "unlock", one is in blue to display "locked".
If more keys are used, and they are nearby, they will synchronize each other, and update the memory to display the latest status of the lock.
To meet the first requirement, the key need be used to have the ability of transmitting and receiving. This is the most important. To meet the second requirement and third requirement, the embedded microcontroller need be used.
To meet the four requirements, the data must be transmitted by the data frame in which there is time information. The frame form is provided by figure 2. After the push button is pressed, the command word is created, then the command is packed with the sender and receiver ID, the current time. The sending time is used for updated the last information. The command is composed of "lock", "unlock", "request status from other key". The command result is used to indicate if the command is successful.

Page 4 of 4 After the data is packed to form a data frame, the frame is encrypted. The wireless transmitter sends out the packed and encrypted data.
Ref to Figure 3, after the button is pressed, the data is sent out, the receiver on the key is waiting for reply for lms. If the transmitter on the lock replies the command, the key will store the reply in the memory to display when the "lock" or "unlock"
bottom is pressed. The two LEDs will be on, then only the related LEDs will on for 2s. If no reply, the transmitter on the key will try 3 times.
If there still no response, the key will send command to the keys around it to get the latest lock information based on the time information from the lock. If the information is updated, the related LED will flash 3 times at 0.3 s. If no reply, the transmitter will try 2 times.
After 2 times try, if still no response, the status on the key remains the same, the related LED will flash 2 times for 1 s.
On the transceiver of lock side, it received the command and executes it on the lock.
Then it will transmit the lock status to the key with the lock time information. Every key must use the same lock's clock information.
On the transceiver of the key, after it receives the request from other key for its memorized lock status, it will send the status in its memory out with the lock time information provided by the lock to update the information.

Page 5 of 5 For collision detection, the RSSI is converted into digital data by AD2, it will compare the threshold before transmit the data, it will delay the transmitting until there is no RF transmission there.
Component description To implement the invention, we need choose microcontroller with RF transceiver like CC 1010 from Chipcon company. The schematics is provided by figure 4.
The CC 1010 acts as the embedded microcontroller. It is composed of RF
transceiver, controller, and encryption. The L1, C8 and C9 act as saw filter. The L41, C42 and C41 act as antenna matching circuit for its transmitter. The C31, L32 act as antenna matching circuit for its receiver. The R1 is a bias resister. The R2 and Cl consist of RC filter for RSSI, which will be converted into digital data to trigger the receiver and delay the transmitting. The L101 is for phase lock loop. The C6, C14 and the crystal consist of the oscillation circuit. R8 acts as reset pull down resister. S 1 is lock pushbutton, S2 is unlock push button. R3 and R4 are the load resisters for D 1 and D2.
Dl and D2 are the LED display. Dl is a LED for lock and D2 is a LED for unlock. R5, R6 and R7 are the pull up resister. Reset, PRG, MISO, MOSI is used to reprogram.
C 12, C 13 and CS are power supply capacitor to filter the power noise.
The transceiver is set to 430Mhz. Here is the components value C8=12PF, C9=12PF, C42=8.2PF, C41=6.8PF, L41=6.2nH, C31=lOpF, L32=68nH, CS=luF, Rl=82KOHM, R2=lOKOHM, C1=lnF, C6=lSPf, C14=lSpF, Oxsc=14.745Mhz, C13=luF, C12=luF, R8=lOkOhm; RS=lOkOhm, Page 6 of 6 R6=l OKohm, R7=l OkOhm, R3=S I OOhm, R4=S l 00hm.
