Abstract
It is a three-dimensional rag-doll type of doll that has two themes-in-one.
The whole doll is one piece comprised of two upper half bodies (upside down in relation to each other) whereby each half is comprised of one head and upper torso with left and right arms attached, one dress skirt and one dress bodice. Each half of the doll portrays a different identity or theme, for example one half awake and the other half asleep. The doll is able to flip from one theme into another by the person holding the doll lifting up its skirt over its head and thus revealing the second head and theme. The dress, therefore, hides one head and creates the appearance of a single doll at any one time. It is a toy and its intention is that it be used by children in play or by enthusiasts for collectors' purposes.

Description
DESCRIPTION
It is a two-themes-in-one soft doll of the type commonly referred to as a "rag-doll". This particular doll is unique in that its two-themes-in-one design allow for the transformation of one figure into another figure by pulling up her clothes over her head to reveal a different head and clothes design beneath. This could also be described as pulling the dolls dress up over its head.
The clothes hide one head thus making the appearance of a single doll at any one time (see figure 3 in which the skirt part of the dress, marked "a", hides the other half of the doll, marked "b", which is drawn here in dotted lines for further clarification. The construction of the clothes and its mechanics thereof, combined with the design of the doll, enable the doll to have two identities for which the designs and themes are limitless, (refer to Claim 6) for example, a doll that is awake and dressed in daytime clothes converts into a doll that is asleep and dressed in night time clothes by pulling her dress up over her awake head revealing her asleep head and night clothes (see figure 4).
The two-themes-in-one doll is comprised of two heads, two torsos, and four arms (see figure 1 ) and a reversible two-in-one dress that has two complementary themes (see figure 2.) One head exhibits the face of an "awake mode'' doll (or other theme as described in greater detail in Claim 6) that is connected to one torso with two arms (one on each side) and in turn this torso at its base is connected to the second torso at its base This second torso is, therefore, upside down in relation to the first mentioned torso. The second torso also has two arms (one on each side) and is further complemented with a head exhibiting a "sleeping mode" doll face (or other theme again described in further detail in Claim 6). The said reversible two-in-one dress is comprised of two dresses that are joined together by the waists and by their hems (see figure 2 showing waists marked "a" and hems marked "b.") Both dresses are made out different materials that complement the themes of the heads. Using the example mentioned of awake and asleep, the awake mode doll would be dressed in a pretty daytime dress and the asleep mode doll would be dressed in nighttime clothes. The said doll is stitched through its body at its waist (or middle of the doll) from side to side so that at this point it is flatter than its surrounding torsos (see figure 5 showing profile and waist marked "a.") This detail enables the doll to be propped up against another surface and appear as if she was sitting up.
The said doll, which is stuffed with soft toy stuffing, is made of a soft fabric such as arctic fleece or brushed nylon in colours chosen to represent various desired skin tones.
The hair is made of different colour knitting wools, (one colour per head i.e. blond, brown, pink, green, etc.
whichever colour is indicative of theme, or ethnicity.) The dress, nightie, or costume is made of various materials, such as cotton, satin, polyester, some with beaded or embroidered ornamentation (each fabric is pre-selected for suitability within its theme).
The intention of the doll is that she be dressed in trendy attire, fashioned in a long dress that entirely covers the second sleeping head (or other theme- thus all that is apparent is an awake mode doll (or other theme referred to in Claim 6). This dress is further composed of a reverse dress, which is styled into a pretty nightie (or other theme referred to in Claim 6) that is worn simultaneously by the sleeping mode doll. This dress with its two themes comprises one piece:
They are connected to each other at the waist and at the bottom of each skirt or each hem, therefore, each dress is the exact same length as its reverse dress.
Consequently, when the day time dress (or other theme) is lifted over the head of the awake mode doll (or other theme) it reveals the second head, that of the sleeping mode doll (or other theme), and vice versa, so that when the sleeping mode doll is exposed she is the only apparent doll and then when her nightie is pulled over her head it reveals the awake mode doll dressed in day time clothes and so on (see figure 3.) The appropriate use for the doll is for children to play with the doll and engage in pretence of putting the doll to sleep and waking her up (or play applicable to that theme of doll referred to in greater detail in Claim 6). Her clothes are designed to be able to be taken off so that she may be changed into other styles and colours of dresses. Adults may also find the doll amactive for decorative use, or doll-collecting enthusiasts may find value collecting them.
The doll further lends itself to being made out of other themes, other than night and day (referred to in greater detail in Claim 6). Such other themes are gender- male or female; Ethnic diversities-Caucasian, African American, Indo American, Latin, Asian or First Nations etc;
Nationalities-Dutch, German, Scottish, Canadian etc; Folk Tale and story book characters-Princess who changes into Sleeping Beauty, Snow White who changes into the Evil Witch, Cinderella in rags who changes into Cinderella in ball gown, Beauty who changes into Beast;
Wizard who changes into a frog, Wizard who changes into a troll, boy who turns into a prince, girl who turns into a princess, girl who turns into a super-girl, boy who changes into a super-boy etc; Careers and events- girl who changes into bride, girl playing sports, boy playing sports, girl who changes into nurse, girl who changes into flight attendant, etc.

Claims (7)
1. The invention is a three-dimensional, rag-doll style of doll that has two themes-in-one. The said doll transforms from one figure (or theme) into another figure by means of pulling up her clothes over her head to reveal a different head and clothes design underneath. The clothes hide one head, torso and arms, thus, creating the appearance of a single doll at any one time (see figure 4)(apart from when the clothes are being pulled up over either head at which time both heads will be visible for a moment). The unique design of the clothes and its application of them enable the doll to have two identities for which the designs and themes are limitless.
2. A doll defined in Claim 2 whose components are comprised of two heads, four arms, and two torsos (waist up) configured into one piece, and a two-in-one dress which is comprised of two dresses that are joined together (to form one piece) at the inside of both waists and at both hems (see figure 2). This said doll one piece is configured so that each head, attached to its own torso with one set of arms (left and right) is upside-down in relation to each upper body (see figure 1.) The said two-in-one dress appropriately covers each said doll half (see figure
3).
3. A doll defined in Claim 2 whose waist is stitched through from front to back and across from side to side (see figure 5.) The said doll's waist is, therefore, flatter than the adjoining torsos.

5. A doll defined in Claim 4, whose two-in-one dress design is an integral part of the mechanics (see figure 2.) It is the said two-in-one dress design and its mechanics thereof, that enables the doll to appear as a single doll at any one time. The said two-in-one dress is long enough so that it entirely covers over the half of the doll not intentioned at that time to be seen. The said two-in-one dress is comprised of two full dresses that are joined to one another on the inside of each dress by the waist seam and by the hem. The said two-in-one dress, therefore, operates as one piece as it is being lifted up over the first half to reveal the second half. The said dress each has its own bodice attached to its skirt part of its own dress. The said two-in-one dress and its two designs are made from two different patterned materials, which further enhance the doll's two identities.
