Abstract
This item consist of a contoured plastic handle with semi-oval paddle at one end. This paddle has rounded edges.
To each side of the paddle is glued a piece of hook-velcro or similar material.
A hole is drilled into the end of the paddle.
Various items can be attached to either side of the paddle. Loop velcro or similar material is sewn or glued to these items, and is approximately the same size as the hook velcro or similar material glued to the paddle.
A list of the items used consists of: Large-body wash cloth Small-body wash cloth Rubber back-scratcher Ointment or lotion applicator Into the hole at the end of the paddle will fit: A tapered nylon brush A tapered sponge rubber glued to a stick Please Note: Some of the attachments are available in stores, e.g. body cloths; but must have loop velcro or similar material sewn to them.
The ointment or lotion applicator is custom designed, made of plastic with an indentation in body of unit so firm grip to place or remove it on or off paddle. This applicator must have loop velcro or similar material glued to base so it can attach to paddle. A circle of felt-material is glued to the top of unit and ointments or lotions are placed on the felt for application to parts of the body difficult to reach.
To fit into the hole at the end of the paddle are 2 items:
1. A tapered soft nylon brush, available at dental supply companies.
2. A stick (wood, rubber, plastic, or metal) with elongated conical sponge rubber glued to it.
This item must be custom - made.

Claims (5)
1. Washer - cloths attached to paddle will enable handicapped people to wash their own backs or unreachable areas normally done by hand.
2. Soft-rubber custom-designed back-scratcher will enable anyone to gently scratch any difficult-to-reach area of the body without tearing or damaging skin.
3. The ointment or lotion applicator will enable anyone to apply ointments or lotions to specific areas of the body ordinarily difficult to reach.
4. The small tapered sponge-rubber unit enable handicapped people to reach and clean between their toes.
5. The tapered sponge-rubber unit will enable handicapped people to reach and dry between their toes.
