Abstract

In celebrating the holiday Christmas season, many novelty items are produced and sold to the public, which are specific to human only and often adapted for pets.
This item is the Santa Clause Christmas boot used to hide little goodies for children and adults and hung on Christmas trees, Over Fireplaces and walls.
In this invention, we have re-designed a boot for pets. The boot replicates a paw of a cat or dog showing 4 toes as depicted in the attached drawing (Attachment A).
There is also a fabric loop sewn into the inside of the fabric to enable the "Santa Claws"
boot to be hung. This boot will have some filling in the paws to define their form.
Now pet owners can have a Christmas Boot specifically for their pet.

Description

~ecific~tion This invention relates to a novelty item for pets during the Christmas season.
It is common for most pet owners to purchase gifts for their pets during many occasions like ~hri~tm~ and Birthdays. The pets are part of their owner's family and are treated as such. These pets are important to their owner's and each has a personality dirr~,.e.lt than the next. Conventional novelty stockings are manufactured and designed for human usage.
They do not provide the pet and the owner with a unique identity. The Santa Claws Pet Novelty Stocking replicates a cat's or dog's paw and not a human form of a foot to identify the pet more prominently.
I have found that by creating the "Santa Claws", that the pet will receive unique recognition by having this product specifically designed in the shape of a paw.
In the attached Drawing (Attachment A) which illustrates the invention, point 1 is a furry material that represents the top lining of Santa Claus's boot. Point 2 is comprised of two pieces of fabric cut in the shape of a paw and topstiched together.
Prior to topstiching the paw pieces, the furry m~çri;~l is stiched to the flat paw pieces.
Point 3 is a fabric loop that is stiched into the inside of the furry fabric for better hold and hanging of the Pet Stocking. Point 4 represents the paw stiching. At this point batting is added prior to sewing the paw to provide form to the "Santa Claws" Pet Novelty Stocking. Once all sides are sewn, the seam allowances are trimmed.
