Abstract

PIGMENTOS PEROLIZADOS A PARTIR DO RECOBRIMENTO DE MUSCOVITA COM àXIDOS DE TERRAS-RARAS. A presente Patente de Invenção se refere à síntese de pigmentos perolizados com base em recobrimento de mica do tipo muscovita com óxidos de terras-raras. A muscovita utilizada é brasileira, natural e oriunda da província pegmatítica da região Borborema-Seridó (divisa entre RN e PB). Para síntese dos pigmentos utilizou-se o método de precipitação. A muscovita utilizada na síntese foi micronizada a um tamanho de partículas inferior a 45<109>m. Para recobrimento da mica foram utilizados reagentes precursores de cério (Ce) e praseodímio (Pr), o que possibilitou a obtenção de novos tipos de pigmentos perolizados. Os pigmentos perolizados obtidos exibiram cores diferentes de acordo com o tipo de óxido utilizado como cobertura: mica-CeO~ 2~ (amarelo), mica-PrO~ 2~(marrom - cinza escuro) e mica-Ce~ (1-x)~Pr~ (x)~O2 (laranja).
