Abstract
MÉTODOS E SISTEMAS PARA ATUALIZAR UM BUFFER. A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e sistemas para a atualização de um buffer. The present invention relates to methods and systems for updating a buffer. In one aspect, the present invention provides a method of updating a buffer, which includes strategic buffer writing to enable simultaneous reading and writing to the buffer. The method eliminates the need for dual storage, thus resulting in implementation cost and space savings compared to conventional storage approaches. The method also prevents image burst when used to update a frame buffer associated with a monitor, but is not limited to such approaches. In another aspect, the present invention provides efficient mechanisms for allowing buffer update over a communication link. In one example, the present invention provides a method of sending timing information via a communication link.
