Abstract
SISTEMA PARA GERAçãO DE ENERGIA. A presente invenção se refere a um sistema e a um método para fornecimento de energia elétrica a uma instalação submarina em localização remota. The present invention relates to a system and method for supplying electric power to a remote location underwater facility. The subsea installation is connected to a second installation by a fluid supply line, said second installation being mounted to supply pressurized fluid through said supply line to said subsea installation. The system and method comprises means for generating electric power, preferably in the form of a turbine operatively connected to said fluid supply line in said subsea installation. The turbine generates electrical energy from said pressurized fluid that flows through said fluid supply line to provide electrical power to at least one electrically operated component in the subsea installation.
