Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"MéTODO PARA A INTEGRAçãO DE CéLULAS DE COMBUSTìVEL EM USINAS ELETROQUìMICAS"<D>. A invenção descreve um método para a conexão direta de células de combustível em eletrolisadores de usinas eletroquímicas produzindo hidrogênio como um subproduto. O hidrogênio do subproduto é alimentado para as células de combustível e a energia elétrica dessa forma produzida é transferida para os eletrolisadores, com a conseq³ente economia do consumo geral de energia. O acoplamento direto evita a necessidade por conversores DC/AC ou ajustadores de voltagem e pode ser efetuado em série ou em paralelo. No último caso, as células de combustível são montadas em módulos, cujo número e voltagem são regulados por meio de interruptores ativados por um sistema de controle e supervisão computadorizado. Como uma alternativa, a voltagem dos módulos pode ser variada pela variação da pressão do ar alimentado para as células de combustível.
