Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>MéTODO PARA A DESACELARAçãO DE UM VEìCULO, COXIM CONTRA COLISãO DE ESTRADA, E ELEMENTO DE ABSORçãO DE ENERGIA PARA O MESMO''<D>. Um coxim contra colisão de estrada (10) provê um perfil de resposta de sistema que reduz a distância de parada de um evento de impacto. Este coxim contra colisão (10) inclui uma estrutura (12) que forma pelo menos duas baías (38, 40) arranjadas uma atrás da outra em uma direção de impacto antecipado. A estrutura (12) inclui pelo menos três estruturas transversais (20, 22, 24) e estruturas laterais (26, 27, 28, 30) que se estendem entre estruturas transversais adjacentes (20, 22, 24). Cada uma das estruturas (26, 27, 28, 30) inclui primeiro e segundo elementos de estrutura lateral (32) acoplados às respectivas estruturas transversais (20, 22, 24), e uma articulação (34) acoplada entre os primeiro e segundo elementos de estrutura lateral (32).
