A invenção refere-se a ferrocenilas quirais de fórmula (I) na qual R~ a~ é -P(R~ 10~R~ 11~) ou -SR~ 12~; R~ b~ é -P(R'~ 10~R'~ 11~), -SR'~ 12~, -CH=NR~ 12~, -CH~ 2~-NH-R~ 12~ ou -CH~ 2~-O-P(R~ 10~R~ 11~); e os outros substituintes são conforme definido na reivindicação 1, as quais podem ser como ligantes para catalisadores de metal de transição em reações enantiosseletivas.
