Abstract
a presente invenção refere-se a um produto de ativação de mmp-8 novo, como um produto de ativação da parte mediana da mmp-8. a invenção também se refere à detecção de tal produto de ativação de mmp-8 ou de fragmentos de mmp-8 ativados em uma amostra biológica derivada de um indivíduo, e ao uso do mesmo para diagnosticar doenças que se relacionam a níveis elevados ou anormais de mmp-8 ativada.
