Abstract

"ácido graxos de cadeia ramificada e produção biológica dos mesmos" a presente invenção refere-se a um método para produzir ácido graxo de anteiso. o método compreende cultivar uma célula que compreende pelo menos um polinucleotídeo exógeno ou superexpresso que compreende uma sequência de ácido nucleico que codifica um polipeptídeo que catalisa pelo menos uma das seguintes reações: conversão de piruvato em citramalato; conversão de citramalato em citraconato; conversão de citraconato em b-metil-d-malato; conversão de b-metil-d-malato em 2-oxobutanoato; ou conversão de treonina em 2-oxobutanoato, em conndições que permitem a expressão do (s) polinucleotídeo (s) e produção de ácido graxo de anteiso. opcionalmente, a célula compreende adicionalmente pelo menos um polinucleotídeo exógeno ou superexpresso que compreende uma sequência de ácido nucleico que codifica um polipeptídeo que catalisa a conversão de 2-oxobutanoato em 2-aceto-2-hidróxi-butirato, a conversão de 2-aceto-2-hidróxi-butirato em 2,3-diidróxi-3-metilvalerato e/ou a conversão de 2,3-diidróxi-3-metivalerato em @-ceto-3-metilvalerato. uma célula que produz ácido graxo de anteiso e um método para o uso da célula para produzir ácido graxo de anteiso também são fornecidos.
