Abstract

"MULTIPLE IMAGE PROVISIONS FOR HEAD-MOUNTED SCREEN DEVICES". A head-mounted displays (HMD) device utilizing a single video display screen to carry images for both eyes is disclosed. Multiple reflections are created by illuminating the display screen from a plurality of directions, or by illuminating the display screen with light beams of different polarization. Display screen reflections are focused to reduce the volume of subdivisions and then redirected through a plurality of reflective surfaces located near the focal point of display images. Different images can be sent to each user's eye by interlacing multiple data streams to the screen and turning on each data stream with specific lighting direction or specific polarization.
