Abstract

"MéTODO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE ESTIRENO OU ESTIRENO SUBSTITUìDO". A invenção pertence a um método para a preparação de estireno ou estireno substituído, compreendendo: (1) a conversão de uma mistura composta de hidroperóxido de alquilbenzeno ou hidroperóxido de alquilbenzeno substituído, em uma mistura compreendendo fenil alcanol ou fenil alcanol substituido e (2) a desidratação do fenil alcanol ou fenil alcanol substituído, compreendendo a oxidação de um alqueno em um óxido de alquileno na etapa (1), na presença de um catalisador heterogêneo, e a desidratação do fenil alcanol ou do fenil alcanol substituido na etapa (2), na presença de um catalisador homogêneo de desidratação, para obter-se estireno ou estireno substituído.
