Abstract
"SELEçãO DE TAXA PARA UM SISTEMA OFDM". A taxa de dados máxima que pode ser confiavelmente transmitida através de um dado canal de múltiplas trajetórias (não plano) usando transmissão OFDM é determinada com base em uma medida para um canal equivalente (plano). Para o dado canal de múltiplas trajetórias e uma taxa específica (a qual pode ser indicativa de uma taxa de dados, esquema de modulação e taxa de codificação específicos), a medida é inicialmente derivada a partir de uma taxa de dados equivalente e do esquema de modulação específico. A seguir é determinada uma SNR limite necessária para transmitir com confiança a taxa de dados específica usando-se o esquema de modulação e taxa de codificação específicos. A taxa específica é considerada como sendo suportada pelo canal de múltiplas trajetórias caso a medida seja maior ou igual à SNR limite. Uma transmissão incremental é usada para compensar erros na taxa de dados determinada.
