"SELEçãO DE FORMATOS DE TRANSMISSãO IDEAL PARA TRANSMISSõES ATRAVéS DE DURAçõES DE TEMPO ALOCADAS". São apresentados métodos e equipamentos para selecionar formatos de transmissão ideais para transmissões para um único usuário ou transmissões simultâneas para vários usuários. Informações de prioridade e informações de estado de canal associadas a cada usuário são utilizadas para determinar os formatos de transmissão ideais. Em particular, as informações são utilizadas para maximizar uma dada função de rendimento que aumenta a taxa de rendimento do sistema ao mesmo tempo em que mantém a eq³idade entre os usuários. (406) Uma vez determinados os formatos de transmissão, quaisquer recursos não-alocados do sistema, tais como códigos Walsh ou potência de transmissão não empregados, podem ser distribuídos de maneira uniforme e proporcional entre os usuários.
