A presente invenção refere-se a uma base isenta de açúcar, de baixa caloria, adequada para uso em confeitos duros, estáveis, isentos de açúcar, baseadas em uma polidextrose que é essencialmente isenta de mono- e dissacarídeos e em um componente de álcool de açúcar que compreende uma quantidade predeterminada de manitol.
