Abstract

The electric shower contains a hollow body made of four extruded plastic components, the first of which is in the form of a body (1)spherically projecting upwards or having its cavity downwards, fully opened in its bottom part where a cylindrical connection groove (2) is fabricated for a separation disk (3) having a strainer or spray (4) fitted under it. First distribution chamber (5) with a side tubular outlet for a portable hand-operated shower is made between spray (4) and the disk. Inside body (1) a wet or heating chamber (7) is machined being limited at its upper part by a middle and horizontal wall (9) over which a dry or assembly chamber (10) is formed for the electrical parts (11). Chamber (10) is closed in its upper part by means of a device for selecting the temperature (12). The water entering across connection (8) rushes into the chamber (7) which is normally kept flooded, the electrical heater (25) being maintained submerged. The water entering the chamber causes the rising of the pressure, sufficient to actuate diaphragm (15) so that plate (18) will be shifted, actuating contacts (28, 29). Under this provision the electric current gets from conductor (F) to heater (25) putting it into operation. 12 claims, 22 figures
