ayant pour objet : " Construction pour habitation extensible "
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

having for object: "Construction for extensible dwelling"
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to a construction for an expandable dwelling comprising a central core whose walls can be extended at least on one side by panels so as to form at least one enclosure adjacent to the central core.
In known constructions of this type, each of the vertical panels which extend one or the other of the two opposite vertical walls of the core slides or pivot (in its plane parallel to this wall.
These known constructions require guides or guide rails or pivots by which the additional panels which extend said vertical panels of the core are put in place one by one, while the other additional panels are brought into the deployed position independently of the first for complete the adjacent enclosures mentioned above.
The known constructions have drawbacks. The assembly and assembly of additional elements from the central core is relatively long and complicated. Furthermore, these mounting and assembly operations require suitable guiding means for the additional panels when moving them from their non-deployed position to their deployed position and vice versa, such means consisting for example of slides which encumber the central core.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The present invention relates to a new extensible construction by which the aforementioned drawbacks are obviated.
To this end, in this new construction, the additional panels of each aforesaid adjacent enclosure, comprising a floor and three walls forming a non-deformable assembly, pivot as a block around hinges located at the edge of the floor of the central core and connecting the floor of this core to that -of the corresponding block, this block being composed of a floor, two. transverse walls and a longitudinal wall.
According to an interesting feature of the invention, applicable to the case where the central core can be extended by two opposite sides, the two blocks formed by the additional panels are nested one inside the other in the non-deployed position.
In the latter case, the construction according to the invention also has the advantage of a free space delimited by the two blocks in the non-deployed position, space located above the central core and used to store in particular roof panels and / or the roof reinforcement.
Other details and features of the invention will become apparent from the description of the accompanying drawings which show schematically and by way of example only, one embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of one embodiment of a construction according to the invention in the fully extended position.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Figure 2 is a plan view of this construction in the same position.
Figure 3 is a sectional elevation taken along line III-III of Figure 2.
Figure 4 is a side elevational view of this construction in the unfolded position.
Figure 5 is another co; pe in elevation of this construction in the non-deployed position.
FIG. 6 is an elevational view particularly illustrating the deployment of this construction.
In these different figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements.
The construction shown is an extendable trailer comprising a central core 1, mounted for example on tires 2. The entrai core is delimited by a floor 3, side walls 4, 5,
6 and 7 and a ceiling 8.
The central core can be extended on the side of the side walls 4 and 5, by adjacent enclosures
9 and 10 to these walls. Each of the adjacent enclosures or blocks 9 and 10 pivots substantially by 1800 around the horizontal hinges 11 mounted on the lower edge of the corresponding longitudinal wall of the central core. These two blocks 9 and 10 located on either side of the core can therefore be moved between an undeployed position illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5 and a deployed position illustrated in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, passing in particular through the position intermediate illustrated in Figure 6. In the non-deployed position, the two blocks
9 and 10 are advantageously nested one inside the other as can be seen in FIG. 5.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
As can be seen in Figure 3, the hinges 11 relating to the blocks 9 and 10 are located along the lower edge of the longitudinal walls 4 and 5 of the central core.
In the present exemplary embodiment, the roof panels, and / or the frame thereof, can be housed in the non-deployed position, in a free space
12 which is located above the central core as shown in Figures 3 and 5.
In these enclosures placed above the central core and the two aforementioned blocks forming the floor relative to them, the transverse panels 13, 14 and 15 are advantageously arranged to pivot around horizontal hinges 16, 17 and 18 arranged on the along the ruperior edges of the transverse walls 19, 7 and
20 so as to fold it down in a position parallel to these transverse walls, as can be seen in Figures 2, 3 and 5 in particular.
In addition, independent support feet 21, for example, can be provided at the places indicated in particular in Figures 3 and 6.
It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiment shown and that many modifications can be made.
Note that panels 13 ', 14' and
15 'located on the side opposite to the aforesaid panels are also arranged to fold.
