<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
Plusieurs modes de réalisation de l'invention mont repré- sentés à titre d'exemple par le dessin annexé dans lequel)) - la fig. 1 est une coupe transversale d'un premier mode de réalisation, faite transversalement aux cartouches;

"Device for translating cartridges contained in a magazine to the loader"
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The object of the present invention is a spring device for the translation towards the magazine of the cartridges contained in a magazine, in particular in portable firearms. According to the invention, one of the ends of the spring is fixed to the part of the magazine facing the side of the loader, and its other wound end pushes the cartridges from below. contained in the magazine, with the insertion of a feed pusher.
So that the feeder pusher cannot take an oblique position in the magazine, it must have a minimum length of 1, but on the other hand, it must not have an excessive weight. In order to fulfill these two conditions, it is further proposed, according to the invention, that the pusher be constituted by at least one end wall filling the cross section of the magazine and which is guided in the longitudinal direction of the magazine over a length & u less equal to the minimum length 1.
So that the wound end of the spring pushes the pusher over as large an area as possible, this pusher advantageously comprises an at least partially cylindrical bearing face for the wound end of the spring.
In a first and in a second embodiment, the pusher comprises two end walls filling the section of the magazine, which walls, in the first case, are interconnected by a spacer and, in the second case by a longitudinal wall adapted to the curvature of the bore of the magazine and the upper end wall has a notch for the passage of the rectilinear part of the spring.
In the first embodiment, the wound end of the spring surrounds a cylindrical pin which is housed in the hollow space between the two end walls of the pusher.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
and which is carried by the spacer connecting the two end walls.
In the second embodiment, the coiled end of the spring rests against the cylindrically curved underside of a transverse wall which is located in the hollow space between the two end walls and which branches onto the wall. longitudinal connecting the two end faces.
In a third embodiment, the pusher has only a single end wall filling the straight section of the magazine, with a notch for the passage of the reotilinear part of the spring. Starting from this end wall, two projections directed downwards are applied by their lateral ridges against the internal wall of the store. The protrusions each have a half notch on its underside. circle in which a roller surrounded in its middle by the coiled end of the spring, is pushed upwards by the spring.
Usually, to force the ammunition out of the magazine of the weapon, a leaf spring or a round wire spring is provided. Due to the fairly stiff ascending linear characteristic of these springs, the cartridges which are engaged in the direction of the feed experience a widely oscillating pressure, eb the force with which the cartridges returned to the feed device. , varies with the degree of filling and changes after each shot.
To have at least the necessary pressure and at least the necessary thrust to overcome the friction relative to the last cartridge to be passed through the magazine, the result is for the first cartridge passing through the magazine, a force greater than that which is necessary for operation
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
device and that is undesirable. This force must, on the one hand, be overcome during storage and, on the other hand, it imposes fairly narrow limits on the length and design of the feed device. The object of the present invention is to avoid these drawbacks.
To this end, to push the ammunition contained in the magazine towards the magazine of portable firearms, in accordance with the invention, a spring is used which is shaped so as to exert a practically constant force throughout its useful stroke. This desirable property is possessed, for example, by a so-called gooseneck spring, constituted by a steel strip which has a practically cons curvature. in the longitudinal direction and which, in the free state, resembles a roller or a coil with fixed turns.
The spring then pushes from bottom to top, by its rolled part and with constant power, either directly or by means of a feed pusher, the cartridges contained in the magazine.
The arrangement of a gooseneck spring makes it possible to use an extremely long or extremely curved magazine or even a bottomless magazine. It is then advantageous to hermetically seal the lower part of the magazine by a shutter mounted in the handle of the weapon.
Several embodiments of the invention are shown by way of example by the appended drawing in which)) - FIG. 1 is a cross section of a first embodiment, taken transversely to the cartridges;
fig. 2 is a similar section made in a second embodiment
