@

La fig. 1 est une vue en coupe longitudinale verticale de la chaudière de chauffage;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The present invention relates to devices for heating boilers, intended to prevent the segregation of the liquid according to the temperatures prevailing in the boiler, segregation which occurs because the hot leaving water is taken from the upper part. while the cold return water arrives at the lower part, the device according to the invention having the further object of intensifying and directing the circulation.
In particular, in the case of fire-tube boilers and combined fire-tube and smoke-tube boilers, water tubes are used which pass through the fire-tube and in which the gas heating of the furnace will result. -

does a water circulation.
This known arrangement of water tubes has a drawback in that the latter do not reach a sufficiently low level in the lower part of the boiler; in that the ratio between the section of the tubes and the body of water to be supplied is too small; in that the speed of the water in the tube is too low; and in that the supply and flow conditions, which exist from the point of entry, result in the formation of unfavorable stratifications of the liquid within the boiler.
Patent of the foregoing, the object of the present invention is to avoid the drawbacks specific to known systems with circulation tubes. In addition, the invention aims to ensure that, in modern high-speed heating boilers, the cold water layer, which promotes corrosion, is completely extracted from the lowest points of the boiler, for example. suction, and that in addition the water circulation required in these boilers, between the various water chambers, is intensified and directed as safely as possible. Finally, the invention proposes to arrange the channels connecting the jackets or water chambers in such a way that transverse currents occur along the heating surface.
According to the invention, the intended object is achieved by the fact that a communication channel, provided in the floor of the boiler and connecting the external water chamber to the internal water chamber, will widen 4 the manner of a nozzle, within the limits of the outer chamber, to its return water outlet, and that the section (sections) of the upper communication channel (of the upper communication channels) is (are) at less equal (s) to that of the lower communication channel, which determines a

high pressure in the suction connection and therefore an intense suction effect in the lower area of the boiler.
By shifting the lower and upper communication channels of the water chambers with respect to one another, the direction of the flow of the upward heated water and therefore the circulation in the boiler is favorably influenced.
To intensify the effect of the circulation favorably, the water return connection of the boiler is placed directly below the orifice of the suction channel, channel which can be formed by tubes or spacers. , of special shape.
An exemplary embodiment of the system according to the present invention is shown in the appended drawings and will be described in the detailed description below.
In these drawings:
Fig. 1 is a view in vertical longitudinal section of the heating boiler;
Fig. 2 is a sectional view along the line I-I of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a view in longitudinal section of the heating boiler, where the suction channel is located on the firebox side, while the upper communication channel is placed on the flue side; and
Fig. 4 is a sectional view taken on line III-III of FIG. 3.
The boiler shown in the pictures. 1 and 2 has two double-walled water jackets 9 and 10 and a combustion chamber 11.
The water return connection 1 opens near the sole 2, 4 of the boiler. Immediately above this outlet is the communication channel 7, which has a flare 3 in the form of a nozzle. The upper parts
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
of the two water jackets are joined to each other by channels 5, 6, the burner introduced through the opening 12, while the combustion gases are discharged through the annular space 13 and the orifice 14.
Freezes them. 3 and 4 represent a boiler produced * according to a similar principle and where only the incoming and outgoing communication channels are arranged in a different way than previously, while having the same effect.
The cold return water enters at 1, in the lower part of the boiler and normally spreads over the entire floor 2, 4 thereof. As soon as the heating is switched on, the heated water rises through the communication tubes 5 and 6 and an intense thermal suction is established, so that the layer of cold water on the bottom of the boiler is sucked in through the suction pipe 7.
Thanks to the offset arrangement of this suction tube 7 relative to the upper communication tube 5, 6, a transverse flow (see arrow 15, 16, 17) of the rising hot water is obtained and therefore uniform cooling of the surfaces. of heating.
