Bec brûleur pour appareil de
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Burner nozzle for
EMI1.1
Oil-fired heating.
The object of the invention relates more particularly to devices for electing liquid fuels. and their mixing with the air so as to create a turbulence conferring maximum efficiency on the mixture of the two elements.
This result is obtained by constructive embodiments characterized essentially by the addition to a rotary diffuser of integral blades with helical or other pitch at a determined angle, thus creating by a single movement, not only the ejection of the gas. combustible

liquid, but still, without the aid of a fan, a turbulence activating the mixture and giving the flame the most efficient flexibility.
Guide vanes, fans and other accessories are currently eliminated, which avoids the causes of downtime and maintenance. The spraying and blowing of the combustion air being obtained by the rotation of the diffuser itself, it follows that the intensity of the heating can be reduced without reducing the efficiency, the quantity of air required. sary to combustion and the power of its turbulence being adjusted in proportion to the quantity of fuel oil ejected. The adjustment of the assembly can be obtained both automatically and by hand.
In the accompanying drawings, given schematically by way of non-limiting example of one of the embodiments of the object of the invention:
Fig. I represents seen in longitudinal section all of the constructive provisions of the subject of the invention,
Fig. 2 is a schematic front view of the same device.
The oil burner according to the invention comprises a box 1 provided at its rear part with so-called air intake perforations 2 and 3 as well as fuel inlet devices with pipe 4 with adjustable flow rate by means of the valve. needle net 5.
The duct 6 is kept fixed by means of the sleeve 7 with a tightening nut 8. The end of said duct 6 supports a distribution nozzle 9 on which is fixed a diffuser 10 held by the tightening screw II. This diffuser can be blocked or left free.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The front end of the fixed duct 6 is used as a shaft on which rests and turns the support 12 integral with the rotary diffuser 13 of larger diameter than the diffuser 10 and which it covers on all of its diffusion surfaces. This support 12 is held in place by the stop ring 14 on the one hand and by the distribution stop 9 forming a boss. The rotation of the assembly being obtained by a known means such as a gear or a pulley 15.
The rotary diffuser 13 is provided at its outer part with fins 16 of suitable shape, helical, at a pitch of a determined inclination to play the role of aspirator and air propeller. Their role is completed by the fixed fins 17 arranged symmetrically at the periphery of the housing I. It follows that the liquid fuel conveyed by the fixed duct 6 is distributed by the distribution nozzle 9 on the wall of the rotary diffuser. 13, which by its action combined with that of the fixed or free diffuser 10 forms an ejection duct with trubulence at the circular exits 18.
The fuel oil animated by a rapid rotational movement, the helping force is ejected in a vortex of molecules which is immediately stirred by the air sucked in and projected by the propellant and guide fins 16, arm- gliding the fuel flaps and giving thus a flammable mixture with a flame of great homogeneity, and great flexibility of combustion. The intensity and length of the flame can also be adjusted by the speed of rotation so that the ejection of the liquid will always be proportional to the force of the air turbulence. The rotation of the support 12 integral with the fins 16 and the diffuser 13 can be adjusted by a brake acting on the rotation surfaces and controlled either from the inside of the duct 6 or directly.

on said support 12.
A lubricator 19 is provided for lubricating moving parts.
A rotary burner is thus produced with a diffuser carrying blades for mixing, aspiration and ejection of air, eliminating the accessory blowers and all attached components. but it goes without saying that the dimensions and arrangements of the various members described may vary as well as their controls without thereby changing the general design of the invention which has just been described.
