L'invention concerne un réchauffeur de liquide à oiroula- tien chauffé par des combustibles liquides qui débite du li- quide chaud directement après ouverture d'un robinet de dis- tribution.Jusqu'à présent,les dispositifs de chauffage à combustibles liquides employés à cet effet,étaient délicats et de manoeuvre diffioile. Ensuite, leur mise en marohe exigeait, sur... tout en cas d'emploi d'huile minérale comme combustible, une durée de chauffage assez longue ;d'autre part,!'influence du chauffage ne cessait que petit à petit après avoir coupé l'ar- rivée du combustible;

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

"Circulating liquid heater heated by liquid fuels".
The invention relates to a liquid fuel heater heated by liquid fuels which delivers hot liquid directly after opening a distribution valve. Hitherto, liquid fuel heaters employed in this effect, were delicate and difficult to operate. Then, their start-up required, above all, when mineral oil was used as fuel, a fairly long heating time; on the other hand, the influence of the heating did not cease until little by little after having cut off the fuel supply;
the result was that very often the small supply of water in these devices was heated, so
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
çan irrational, until vapor formation.
Oven to remedy these drawbacks, it is necessary to turn on and off the heating at the same time as the water flow. The invention consists in using, for this purpose, a heating device provided with a fuel atomizer, of known design, in putting this atomizer automatically into service when the flow of water is placed in airculation and in it. automatically switch off when 1% water rivet is cut.
This commissioning can be done either directly by the current itself of the water to be heated, for example by means of a hydraulic motor, or indirectly, by means of a switch which is used to put in on an auxiliary force intended to operate the sprayer, for example the electric current, according to the water withdrawal. This switch can be coupled directly with the water sampling tap, so as to activate the auxiliary force when the tap is opened and to deactivate it when it is closed.
In addition, an auxiliary switch is suitably provided, influenced by the water pressure, which thus deactivates the auxiliary force and therefore the burner in the event that the water refuses while the heater is in operation. The control of the auxiliary force can, however, also be effected by means of a pressure drop created in the path of the liquid to be heated; in this case, it is superfluous to provide special guarantees against the eventuality of lack of water.
As a rotary sprayer gives a combustible mixture directly after switching on, which makes it possible to obtain a great heating effect in a small space at the same time as perfect combustion, thanks to the new device, it is possible to obtain hot water almost as soon as it is drawn off, fully automatically. On the other hand, the sprayer stops, directly after the circulation is switched off.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
yours (the water; the heating ceases as a consequence directly and there can be no overheating of the water remaining in the heater or damage to the exchange = temperature as a result of vacuum heating .
The invention makes it possible to dispense with the fuel inlet adjustment valves, which are customary in circulation reheaters, since the sprayer only circulates the fuel to the exact extent that. this is necessary * This removal of the control valves is particularly important for the operation with liquid fuel, because, as experience teaches, the stop elements of the fuel lines can inevitably lack the strength.
The drawing shows, by way of example, a liquid heating apparatus provided with a spray burner, for liquid compound, electrically controlled; the control is effected by means of a pressure difference produced in the flow of the liquid to be heated.
The apparatus shown comprises a combustion chamber 1, with the wall 2 of which is connected a coil 3 by ... run by the liquid or the water to be heated. Above the combustion chamber is a ribbed heating element
7 4. Through the pipe o the cold water arrives at the appliance; a tap / mounted on the outlet pipe 6 comes out to draw the hot water.
At the bottom of the combustion chamber there is a spray burner driven by the electric motor 8. The burner has a hollow cone 10 with a cylindrical appendage 11 projecting downwards, fixed on the shaft 9 of the electric motor; o and appendage immersed in the liquid fuel which is in a tank 12 in the form of a bowl. In this bowl 12, a pipe 14 brings the liquid fuel from the mariotte bottle 13, so that the level of the liquid always remains at a determined height in the bowl 12.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
On the shaft 9 is also a paddle wheel 15 which serves to circulate the combustion air. The electric motor, fan wheel, spray cone and fuel bowl are surrounded by a well 16 which flares upward in the shape of a cone. On the arrival line 14 is located in the den an ignition burner 17, the wick of which can be ignited by means of the channel 19 that the en. can close at the side of the cover 18.
To start the burner automatically when water is drawn off, a switch operated by the water flow is used. In the water inlet pipe 5 there is a narrower part 30, which comes out to create a pressure drop. In front of and behind this narrower part two pressure pipes 21, 22 which lead to the chambers of the compartment 25 separated from each other by the membrane 24, With the latter this in relation a pusher 27 which directs outwards through the seal 26; oe Segment actuates an appropriate current switch 30, moist in the circuit 31, 32 of the electric motor 8.
The device shown works as it knows,
When the flow valve 7 is opened, a stream of water circulates in the pipe 5 and the coil 3; this stream of water is constricted at 20; It anneals that in front of point 20 and in branch SI, there is a higher pressure than behind point 20 and in branch 22. The membrane 24 thus pushes the pusher 27 towards the outside, which causes the closing switch 30.
The electric motor 8 is thus started and with it also the hollow cone 10. As a result of the centrifugal force which manifests itself, fuel is entrained in the cylindrical appendage 11 of the hollow cone 10 and it is projected onto the cylinder. 'upper edges of the hollow cone 10 in the state of dust. At the same time the paddle wheel 15 circulates combustion air which, together with
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the pulverulent fuel, forms a flammable mixture and ignites in the burner 17. The high flame thus produced quickly heats the water circulating in the coil 3.
When the sampling valve is closed, the pressure ohute disappears in the retracted part 20; the elastic membrane 24 returns to its rest position, the switch 30 opens and the electric motor 8 does not stop. The circulation of fuel and combustion air also stops you.
