This arrangement allows the wearer of said cap (1) to direct the light flux according to his needs. By an appropriate choice of the quality of light, the use of such a cap helps its wearer to maintain the state of wakefulness to the prolonged action of light on his central nervous system.
Description
Cap with visor provided with light emitter or light diffuser. The invention relates to a cap with a visor provided, at least, with a transmitter or a diffuser of a blue light stimulating in an individual the waking state.
Currently, there are helmets with light sources used in mines and in work related to tunnels and sewers, caving and cycling. In the field of medicine, there are also light sources brought to the foreheads by practitioners. The purpose of such associations is the illumination of objects in front of the wearer of one of the listed devices. Helmets used by some airmen are equipped with indicators and displays of the parameters relating to their missions. Various apparatus and instruments have been made for light therapy purposes. One of them, borrowing the look of glasses is provided with light-emitting diodes and diffractive optical diffusers based on a holographic system sending a light to the pupil of his wearer.
The implementation of the know-how described above, is unsuitable for the embodiment of the cap according to the present invention. In the known embodiments, the light is white or of color close to white, sometimes enriched with blue and most often, of high intensity. If the light source is associated with the helmet or placed on the doctor's forehead, its flow is consistent with the user's gaze. In case of glasses evoked, it is directed towards the inside of the eye of their wearer. In all the cases analyzed, the light emitted illuminates a determined target by drawing on it the attention of the eye where the light deliberately attacks the retina.
In accordance with the present invention, at least one light emitter (3) or at least one light diffuser (9) is integrated in the cap visor (2) (1). The application provided for the present invention being in the conditions of darkness or greyness, the luminous flux emitted by the emitter (3) or by the diffuser (9) of blue color and oriented, generally, downwards generate a bluish dusk in the field of view of the wearer of the cap (1) without disturbing his visual acuity. The blue color captured by the eyes causes in the central nervous system of the person exposed to it for a prolonged period, physiological processes favoring in her, the maintenance of the waking state. To better fix the idea, it is specified that the blue light emitted or scattered is free of ultraviolet rays.
According to one of the embodiments, the light emitters (3) are diodes supplied with electric current by means of circuits (4) son or printed. The circuits (4) can be autonomous, comprising a battery (5) or be connected to an electricity distribution network. A realization, more advanced technically, uses the light emitters (3) in multiple light-emitting diodes compatible with the management of the system thus constituted, by a microprocessor (6) processing data transmitted by electrodes (7) incorporated in the cap ( 1) capturing currents generated by the brain. Such management consists, among other things, in adapting the brightness and the chromatic hue, but any other device could be associated with it in the context of the present invention, such as, for example, a buzzer. The microprocessor (6) can be part of the cap (1) or the visor (2) or be an independent unit connected to the systems of emission or light diffusion and capture by conductors of any kind or by emissions microwave. To optimize the light diffusion, in a variant of the visor (2), the light emitters (3) are carried by strips (8) orientable and removable incorporated in the visor (2). According to another embodiment, at least one light diffuser (9) implanted on the underside of the cap visor (2) (1) is an optical fiber having the property of lateral light loss. The light source is constituted by, at least, a light emitting diode (10) installed at one or each end of the optical fibers (9). The power supply circuits (4) may be autonomous, comprising one or more batteries (5) or be connected to a low voltage electrical distribution network. This does not limit the invention and the use of a light generator (11) independent of the cap (1) can be envisaged. In this case, a collector (12) of optical fibers (9) integrated in the cap (1) or the visor (2) is connected to the generator (11) by a light transmitting optical fiber (13). In a more advanced concept, the intensity of the light and its chromatic nuance are managed by a microprocessor (6) processing the data transmitted by electrodes (7) incorporated in the cap (1) capturing the currents generated by the brain. The microprocessor (6) can be part of the cap (1) or the visor (2) or be an independent unit connected to the systems of emission or light diffusion and capture of brain currents by conductors of any kind or thanks to terrestrial broadcasts. Any other device may be associated in the context of the present invention such as, for example, a buzzer. In general, the optical fibers (9) are single stranded, but other constitutions of the fibers can be used. To optimize the light diffusion, in a variant of the visor (2), the light diffusers (9) are carried by strips (8) orientable and removable embedded in the visor (2). Embodiments of a cap (1) with a visor (2) provided with emitters (3) or diffusers (9) described above can be confused, take a whole other configuration, be extended to other concepts, completed or be associated with other systems without limiting the present invention. The advantage obtained by this invention consists in producing a cap (1) with a visor (2) provided with light emitters (3) or light diffusers (9) which, in the dark or in the grisaille, thanks to the controlled emission or diffusion of light generates a bluish dusk in the field of vision of the wearer of the cap (1) conducive to the maintenance of its waking state, without disturbing its visual acuity. The diodes are located in such a way as to make imperceptible any heat clearances. The invention is described below, without limiting it, using exemplary embodiments illustrated by drawings in which the same elements bear the same references.
