Abstract
The invention concerns a method for managing an automatic telephone information service in a public telephone network (3), comprising the following steps: setting a telephone connection through the public telephone network (3) between a caller (1) and the system; identifying the caller (1); determining a voice model (52) particular to the caller (1); determining a history of the caller's (1) calls; determining the identification of the subscriber requested from the caller's voice request by a speech recognition method using said caller's voice model (52), said caller's profile (51) and a general directory (9) of said public telephone network (3) subscribers; determining the requested subscriber's (2) number using the general directory (9); setting up a connection between the caller and the requested subscriber.
