TITLE: A WAIST EXERCISER This invention relates to a waist exerciser.
This invention is especially designed for exercising the waist of an user.
Although there are numerous kinds of exercising devices on the market, none of them capable of exercising the waist is satif'actory in use. Some are too complicated, while the others too expensive.
It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a waist exerciser which may obviate and mitigate the above-mentioned drawbacks.
This invention relates to a waist exerciser.
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a waist exerciser which may effectively exercise 15 the waist in addition to the chest and the neck of an user.
It is another object of the present invention to proivde a waist exerciser which may stimulate the sympathetic nerve of an user.
It is still another object of the present invention
__I
to provide a waist exerciser which may enable an user to inhale more oxygen.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a waist exerciser which is simple in 5 construction.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a waist exerciser which is economic to produce.
Other objects and merits and a fuller understanding of the present invention will be obtained by Lhose having 10 ordinary skill in the art when the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment is read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a waist exerciser according to the present invention; FIG. 2 shows the structure of the waist exerciser according to the present invention; FIG. 3 shows the interior structure of the waist exerciser according to the present invention; FIGS. 4, 5, 6 and 7 show the working principle of the present invention; I FIG. 8 shows another preferred embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 9 shows an application of the present invention.
Before explaining the present invention in detail, it *0 5 is to be understood that the invention is noL limited in its application to the details of construction and arrangement of parts illustrated in the accompanying drawings, since the invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced or carried out in various ways. Also it is to be understood that the phraseology or terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of'limitation.
With reference to the drawings and in particular to 0 FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 thereof, the waist exerciser according to the present invention comprises a body portion 1 and a base 1 fixedly joined together. The body portion 1 is provided with a power cord 11, a power switch 32 and a handle 13.
A supporter 3 is mounted on the body portion 1 and locked on a slide 4 extending upwardly out a slot 14 of the body portion 1 by screws extending through the supporter 3 and holes 41 of the slide 4 (see FIG. The supporter 3 is formed with two recesses 31 for resting ankles of an user.
5 The base 2 is provided with a reduction gear 5 having a driving axle 51 with an eccentric block 52. On the driving axle 51 there is an eccentric shaft 53 enclosed by a roller 54 (see FIG. 3).
Further, the base 2 has a bottom plate 21 on which is 10 mounted an inverted U-shaped frame 6 with a curve recess 61 for providing a space for receiving the roller 54.
•es Across the inverted U-shaped frame 6 are mounted two shafts 62 which is engaged with the slide 4. The slide 4 is provided with a slot 42 in which is fitted the roller 54 (see FIG. 2).
The reduction gear 5 is electrically connected with the power switch 12 so that when the power switch 12 is turned on, the reduction gear 5 will drive the eccentric shaft 53 to rotate thereby moving the slide 4 to reciprocate leftwards and rightwards alternately and ~i ;L therefore causing the supporter 3 to oscillate horizontally.
Referring to FIG. 8, there is shown a second preferred embodiment of the present invention. As 5 illustrated, the eccentric block 52 and the roller 54 of the first preferred embodiment are simply replaced with a cam Although the present invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood 10 that the present disclosure is made by way of example only and the numerous changes in the detail of construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may resorted 9 to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
