Abstract

The present invention relates to a water discharge device for fire-fighting which enables discharging a large quantity of water from an aeroplane avoiding the dispersion of the water, so that this falls on the ground in a concentrated manner, where said device comprises a set of bags (1) filled with water which have been disposed inside an aircraft (2) and which break when they are at a predetermined distance from the seat of the fire or from the area where their discharge was intended.

Description

1 WATER DISCHARGE DEVICE FOR FIRE-FIGHTING DESCRIPTION OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a water discharge device for fire-fighting 5 which enables discharging a large quantity of water from an aeroplane avoiding the dispersion of the water, so that this falls on the ground in concentrated manner. The object of the invention consists of a water discharge device for fire fighting comprising a set of bags filled with water which have been disposed inside an aircraft and which break when they are at a predetermined distance from the 10 seat of fire or from the area where their discharge was intended. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Aeroplanes are known in the state of the art, generally hydroplanes which are used in fire-fighting. These aeroplanes have inner tanks which have a structure which partially or entirely occupies the aeroplane fuselage. 15 These aeroplanes discharge to the seat of fire all the water contained in one or several of their tanks from a certain height, which means that on occasions the discharged water is dispersed by air streams and does not reach the seat of fire or the area its discharge was intended for, which was the objective it had been launched with. 20 In this sense, the convection streams produced by the heat of the fire as well as the aeroplane speed make it practically impossible that the water is deposited in the place it was initially intended to fall. Furthermore, these aircraft normally have a limited number of tanks, so that the water to be discharged on a certain area is conditional on the tank size. 25 The water discharge device for fire-fighting of the present invention enables discharging a large quantity of water from an aeroplane avoiding its dispersion in order for it to fall on the ground in concentrated form on the seat of fire or the area whereon its discharge was intended and in the quantity required at any given time. W02010138714A1 discloses a water discharge device for fire-fighting 30 according to the preamble of claim 1. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a water discharge device for fire-fighting 2 comprising a set of bags filled with water which have been disposed inside an aircraft and which are discharged to the seat of fire or to the area where their discharge was intended by means of discharge means. The bags comprise breakage means which make the bags break when they 5 are at a predetermined distance from the seat of fire or from the area where their discharge was intended. In this way, the water discharge device for fire-fighting makes it possible to discharge a large quantity of water from the aeroplane avoiding the dispersion of the water, so that this falls on the ground in concentrated manner. 10 The aircraft is preferably loaded with water by means of the bags in an airport or similar, waiting for its presence to be requested in the place of the fire the same as a fire engine. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description being made and in order to aid towards a 15 better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description wherein, with illustrative and non-limiting character, the following has been represented: Figure 1. Shows a sectional view of the water discharge device for fire 20 fighting within the aircraft. Figure 2. Shows a diagrammatic elevational view of the discharge means of the water discharge device for fire-fighting of the present invention. Figure 3. Shows a diagrammatic plan view of the discharge means of the water discharge device for fire-fighting of the present invention. 25 Figure 4. Shows an elevational view of a bag which has already left the aircraft showing the breakage means prior to breakage of the bag. Figure 5. Shows an elevational view of a bag which has already left the aircraft showing the breakage means once the bag has been broken. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION 30 In light of the figures, a preferred embodiment is described below of the water discharge device for fire-fighting. The water discharge device for fire-fighting comprises a set of bags (1) filled 3 with water which have been disposed inside an aircraft (2), preferably old aircraft close to scrapping which can be used in these tasks and which are awaiting possible emergencies associated to fires. The bags (1) are discharged to the seat of fire or the area where their discharge was intended by means of discharge means 5 (3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11). The water discharge device of the present invention may discharge up to 50000 I of water contained in a set of bags (1). These discharge means (3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11) comprises a lower conveyer belt (3) actuated by a motorized pulley (4) to carry out the displacement of the lower conveyer belt, two lateral conveyer belts (5) disposed on both sides of the bags (1) 10 to avoid the bags (1) falling from the lower conveyer belt (3) and two upper conveyer belts (10) to aid in the guiding of the bags (1). These two upper conveyer belts (10) are separated from one another by a predetermined distance to allow the filling of the bags from their upper part. Each one of the lateral (5) and upper (10) conveyer belts are also actuated by a motorized pulley (4). 15 The discharge means (3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11) comprise protuberances (11) disposed at least on the lower (3) and lateral (5) conveyer belts to avoid the relative movement of the bags (1) with respect to the conveyer belts (3, 5) and that they (1) are better fastened thereto (3, 5). The discharge means (3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11) further comprises a vertical 20 conveyer belt (6) which leads the bags (1) towards an orifice (7) disposed on the floor of the aircraft (2) fuselage to allow the exit of the bags (1) therefrom (2) by gravity. This vertical conveyer belt (6) also comprises a motorized pulley (4). In this example of preferred embodiment, the aircraft (2) fuselage comprises two groups with a lower conveyer belt (3), two lateral conveyer belts (5) and two 25 upper conveyer belts (10), as shown in Figure 3. In one of the groups of belts the upper belts (10) are not represented and in the other group of belts the protuberances (11) disposed in the lower conveyer belts (3) have not been represented for greater clarity. Also preferably, the bags (1) have parallelepiped shape with squared base, 30 with dimensions preferably of 1 m width x 2 m height x 1 m base, and may have rounded corners. The bags (1) comprise breakage means (8, 9) which makes the bags break 4 when they are at a predetermined distance from the seat of fire or from the area where their discharge was intended. Preferably, these breakage means comprises a fishing line (8) joined to a parachute (9) which opens once the bag (1) is at a predetermined distance from the 5 seat of fire or from the area where their discharge was intended, causing the breakage of the bag (1) and the consequent concentrated discharge of the water. Also preferably, the breakage means are a part or all of the bag (1) which is manufactured in a material which disintegrates once the bag (1) is at a predetermined distance from the seat of fire or from the area where its discharge 10 was intended due to the temperature in that area associated with the fire.
