IP Australia 0 2 DEC 2009 AUSTRALIA COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT "ECOVIDER" WALL BUILDING PANEL The following statement is a full description of Ecovider invetio, including the best method of performing it known to me: Description The "Ecovider" Building panel is a light concrete wall insulated with a layer of expanded polystyrene (EPS). These lightweight but load bearing panels with high strength to weight ratio require minimal steel or timber construction framing and provide the designer with freedom in ar chitectural innovations. The "Ecovider" panels are made from two scientifically engineered in ternal cores sandwiched between non-asbestos, 5mm Fibro Cement facing Sheets (3). The Load-bearing core is made of a 90mm thick mix ture of Portland cement, Fly ash and lightweight aggregate in a form of Expanded Polystyrene beads (1). The Insulation core is made purely of 90mm compressed flame retardant expanded polystyrene (EPS) (2). A rate of EPS compression is 18kg/M 3 . Innovative composite layer technology is relatively new generation of building panel construction. The unique five layer structural concept makes it highly durable and adaptable (1) (2) (3). By combining the outstanding thermal characteristics of EPS with the strength of cement, The "Ecovider" panels provide superior levels of insulation with masonry like strength. There are two kinds of "Ecovider" panels depending which part of con struction or the wall their form. Straight panels (Fig.I) are used to con struct the straight line of the wall. Corner panels (Fig.2) are used specifi cally for outside corners. To form a corner wall two corner panels are joined by L-shaped EPS Connector Beam (11). When steel framing is required in the construction process, the EPS connector beam is rein forced with a light gauge 4mm steel "C" section column (11). Both pan els are constructed in the same fashion, however have slightly different designs as indicated in fig. 1 & 2. The "Ecovider" panels hugely contribute to overall thermo and eco effi ciency of the whole construction as well as power consumption savings in relation to heating in colder climates and cooling in warmer areas. Structures built with The "Ecovider" panels will also provide consider able financial savings during construction period. 2 The "Ecovider" panel rapid assembly system. The "Ecovider" panels are erected using an easy and quick assembly method. The panels are grooved to the depth of 70mm on all four sides. Those grooves are called 'Vertical & Horizontal Construction Chan nels"(5). Each panel is also equipped with "Vertical & Horizontal Service Channels" (6) for the purpose of electricity cable, plumbing pipes, or in ternal vacuum pipes lining. A 140mm wide EPS tongue (7) is used to join the standing panels. When steel framing is required in the con struction process, the EPS tongue is reinforced with a light gauge steel "C" section column (7). The panel grooves completely conceal all parts of the steel framing. At the wall base and head, panels are connected by horizontal "Steel Construction Bearers" (10), (9) that are also concealed by the panel's grooves. All panel edges are recessed allowing intemal and external joints to be taped, set and sanded flat for an even uniform finish. All "Ecovider" panels are delivered to the building site ready for instal lation. When the panels are erect, and joints are sanded, the walls are ready to use or to finish with any desired decorative finish. Two layers of 5mm Board of Compressed Fibre Cement as an Outside skin and one layer of 5mm Board of Compressed Fiber Cement as an Internal skin (3) 7. 7mm Structural Metal Mesh (8) 8. 52.5 x 60mm Horizontal & Vertical Service Channel (6) 5 9. Claims (4)

1. Ecovider wall Panels have very high strength to weight ratio stronger than corresponding size clay brick wall and much lighter in weight despite being 195mm in thickness. The panels are made from two scientifically engineered internal cores sand wiched between non-asbestos, Fibro Cement facing Sheets. The Load-bearing core is made of a mixture of Portland cement, Fly 10 ash and lightweight aggregate in a form of Expanded Poly styrene beads. The Insulation core is made purely of compressed flame retardant expanded polystyrene (EPS). A rate of EPS com pression is 18kg/m 3 . [5
2. Ecovider wall Panels have high thermal insulation properties by dual incorporation of the outstanding thermal characteristics of ex panded polystyrene (EPS) in both cores.
3. High speed of construction and assembly. Ecovider wall Panels 0O are quick and easy to install, therefore, providing savings in con struction time, materials and installation labour.
4. Ecovider wall Panels are extremely versatile and adaptable to any architectural design. There are two kinds of panels depending 5 which part of the wall their form.
