Das Ergebnis bildet ein Kunststein, dessen Masse zementartig abgebunden ist, daher wetterfest ist und für Aussenmauern Verwendung finden kann.
Zur Regelung der Abbindeverhältnisse können noch der Masse kleine Mengen von Gips, Zement u. dgl. beigefügt werden. Zur Herstellung dieser Kunststeine dient folgende Vorschrift : 2 Raumteile feuchter Sägespäne werden mit i Teil speckigem, gelöschtem Kalk vermischt. Nach ein bis zwei Tagen wird diese Masse mit 1/4 Teil feinem Grubensande und Teil Ziegelmehl gut durchmischt. Aus dieser Masse werden Ziegel geformt und vor der Erhärtung wiederholt befeuchtet.
