Betteinsatz.

Bed insert.
The invention relates to bed inserts in which a. rigid support is stretched between resilient levers.
According to the invention, these levers are hinged at one end to the longitudinal sides of the insert frame at a distance from the frame ends in such a way that these levers are inclined outwards and their other end is connected by springs to the longitudinal or transverse bars of the frame.
This means that, with the greatest possible use of the entire length of the insert, a simple, non-structured frame can be used as a support and the weight of the entire insert is reduced to a minimum.
FIGS. I and 2 of the drawing illustrate a bed insert set up according to the invention in a side view and a plan view.
The bed insert has a frame 1 made of wood or, as shown, of shaped iron or angle iron, to which pairs of levers 2 are articulated at a distance from the frame ends so that the latter are directed obliquely outwards. The two levers of each pair are connected to one another at their ends by a cross bar 3, on which the associated end is designed as a stiff, smooth braid. en edition 4 is attached. The tension of the braid is brought about by springs 5, which are fastened on the one hand to the levers 2 and, on the other hand, to the frame in an expediently detachable, possibly adjustable manner, and which keep the lever systems spread apart.
In the case of a frame made of angle iron, the levers can, as shown, be hinged to the upright leg thereof.
The bed insert described has, in addition to those mentioned at the beginning, the advantages that it is easy to handle, i. H. can be easily inserted and removed, because of its composition of a few simple parts offers no hiding places for vermin and is easy to clean, since all parts of the bed insert are easily accessible.
