Ausschaltbares Schneckengetriebe.

Disengageable worm gear.
In worm gears in which the worm is to be switched off by its axis lying eccentrically to it, there are sometimes structural difficulties, and sometimes this deactivation of the worm cannot be carried out.
Structural difficulties arise in the case where the worm shaft is very long, because the eccentric bearing then had to go through all the bearings. Would be impracticable z. B. the disconnection of the worm in the case when bevel or spur gears sit on the worm shaft.
In the present case, it is an arrangement that enables the worm to be switched off in the cases mentioned without the difficulties associated with the usual eccentric mounting of the worm shaft occurring.
According to the invention, the arrangement consists in that one or more cross-disk clutches are switched on in the worm shaft. This means that only part of the worm shaft needs to take part in the switch-off movement.
The invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment - a is the worm wheel which is in engagement with the worm b. The worm shaft is in two parts. The part c of the worm shaft that carries the worm is mounted in two rigidly connected bushings d, e, the axis of which is so eccentric to the worm axis that a rotation of the bushes in their bearings f. 9 the
Worm can be disengaged from the worm wheel.
One end of the corrugated file c is connected to the corrugation part h. on which a bevel gear i sits, connected by the cross-disk clutch k, which is to be described in more detail here. It is usually used where two parallel shafts are to be coupled with one another with a small spacing. The two shafts have discs at the coupling point. each of which has a recess m, which recesses are perpendicular to one another. Between the two discs is the
Clutch disc n, which has ribs o engaging in the recesses.
By turning the bushes by means of the handle p, only the one carrying the screw becomes
Shaft part c moved around the eccentric axis and thus switched off the worm.
