the corresponding perforated music band is drawn onto the mechanism 18 of the piano and the instrument is ready to be played. The speaking machine and the piano then become both
 EMI2.1
so that it begins to play as precisely as possible at the same time as the speaking machine.

Once the game has started, a speed lever 35 (FIG. 1) can be used to set the playing of the piano so that it stays in the same rhythm as the playing of the speaking machine.

When playing the piano, which can also be played by hand with the accompaniment of the speaking machine, the soundboard begins to vibrate. These vibrations generate sound waves of a very intense character, which are sent into the chamber 25 at the rear of the soundboard.

The tones of both instruments are conducted into this chamber in order to then exit the piano housing through the sound conductor 52.

The chamber 25 forms an expansion between the channel 29 and the sound conductor 32.

In addition, through the chamber 25 and the channel 29, the path which the tones generated by the speaking machine have to cover until they exit to the outside is very much lengthened, which has the effect that false tones are eliminated. The misstones are usually the weakest tones produced by the speaking machine and are therefore practically destroyed or equalized in the channel 29 and in the enlarged mixing chamber 2J. Moreover, the soundboard 11 greatly enhances the harmonic tones and at the same time suppresses the inharmonic tones.

The invention thus makes an instrument (piano) capable of making a relative
 EMI2.2
relatively small volume of sound is generated, combined. The tones of the smaller or smaller instrument (speaking machine) are directed to the soundboard of the larger or stronger instrument (piano). To do the reverse would practically be a far less effective method of accomplishing the purposes of the invention.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Combined musical instrument, consisting of an ordinary or mechanical piano and a speaking machine, characterized in that the sound channel of the speech machine is passed to behind the soundboard (11) of the piano, so that this soundboard
