<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
In
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

The invention relates to a plate, namely a so-called shoring plate, for supporting walls of a trench, in particular a construction trench, the plate being made from a
There are a large number of interconnected profiles, and facing one another
Interlock sides of adjacent profiles, as well as a device that includes the plate and an associated spreader arm to press the plate against the trench wall.
The word digging is to be understood in a general sense, which also includes pits,
Excavation pits, trenches and the like.
The shoring plate mentioned at the beginning is part of a system that is known in specialist circles under the term "steel duct shoring". Depending on the type of support
Shoring plate to the floor is called (trench) shoring box, slide rail shoring,
Shaft shoring or wall shoring.
DE 24 22 404 A shows a shoring panel which is composed of one-sided open, abutting C-profiles, the C-profiles being welded together in the longitudinal direction for static reasons and for sealing against penetrating water, which results in relatively high manufacturing costs ,
In the shoring plate shown in FR 2 476 170 A, one-sided open profiles are inserted into one another, but the prerequisite for cohesion is at least one connection of the profiles caused by spot welding, which in turn results in a correspondingly complex production step.
The present invention seeks to alleviate the disadvantages of the prior art by developing the plate described at the outset in such a way that the mutually facing sides of the adjacent profiles are provided with projections or recesses which are complementary in section, the projections being free Expand towards the end and the recesses to their

Taper the open end so that the projections and the recesses engage in a tongue and groove and the profiles are non-positively connected.
By means of this measure according to the invention, the individual profiles only need to be pushed into one another in order to secure them to one another. A
Welding of the profiles can largely be dispensed with, and it goes without saying that this can significantly reduce the production costs. They are also
Working hours for the production of panels from the profiles according to the invention are much shorter.
Although it is possible to connect different profiles with one another, provided the above conditions are met, it is advantageous, for reasons of simple assembly and easier storage, to use a single type of profile, which is characterized in that each profile is connected to one of two opposite sides are provided with at least one projection widening towards the free end and on the other side with a recess tapering towards their open end. For some applications, however, it is preferable to reinforce the top profile of a plate on its top, e.g.
B. by welding an additional metal plate, and to provide the underside of the lowermost profile with a cutting edge, so that the plate can be pressed into the ground by means of an excavator shovel at the construction site.
A particular strength of the plate composed of the profiles according to the invention results if the projections and recesses of the profiles extend over the length of the profiles.
For reasons of weight saving, it is advantageous if the profiles are hollow profiles.
The profiles can be cold formed from flat sheet metal in rolling mills, the butt seam of the sheet metal edges is then expediently laser welded.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Good strength and torsional stiffness can be achieved if the profiles have a generally rectangular cross section.
The invention also relates to a device for supporting walls of a trench or a building pit. This device comprises at least one according to the invention
Plate for bearing against a wall of the trench as well as beams rammed into the ground, self-supporting or supportable with ground anchors. Alternatively, two opposing plates according to the invention can be placed against one each
Wall of the trench with at least one spreader arm in between.
The invention also relates to a device for supporting walls of a
Trench, in particular construction trench, with at least one plate according to the invention for
Abutment on a wall of the trench, wherein in each case corresponding plates abutting one another on opposite trench walls are supported against one another and against the trench walls by a spreading arm arranged between them.
A separate support of the spreading arms is therefore not necessary.
In the drawings, FIG. 1 shows the known “trench shoring box” in perspective, FIGS. 2a and 2b represent two different cross-sectional profiles which are used in the known device according to FIG. 1. Fig. 3 shows a profile according to the invention in cross section, and in Fig. 4 the connection of two profiles according to the invention is shown in cross section. FIGS. 5 and 6 finally show applications of the plates according to the invention in connection with various rails in the shaft shoring.
An embodiment of a trench sheeting box according to the prior art will now be explained by way of example with reference to FIG. 1. This known trench sheeting box 1, 1 'consists of two mutually opposite plates 2, which are kept spaced apart by telescopic spreading arms 3, spindles or struts. The ends of the spreading arms 3 are fastened to supports 4, which in turn hold the plates 2. In
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Use, the trench shoring boxes 1, 1 'are introduced into a dug trench and the spreading arms 3 are moved apart until the plates 2 press against the side walls of the trench and thereby prevent the trench from collapsing. The plates 2 have a length I and different heights H1 (trench installation box 1 ') or H2 (trench installation box 1). Typical mass of the plate include a length of e.g.
B. 3500 mm and a height of 2600 mm. The plates themselves are usually constructed modularly from a large number of profiles 5, 5 ', as can best be seen from FIGS. 2a and 2b. Each profile is a metallic hollow profile with a rectangular (Fig. 2a) or C-shaped cross section (Fig. 2b). The individual profiles are connected to one another by weld seams 6. The disadvantage of this type of plate making is that
Manufacturing process is very labor intensive, which becomes clear when you consider that in a typical plate with a length of 3500 mm, which is composed of 15 profiles, each of which is connected by two welds, the
The total length of the weld seam is 98 m, which considerably affects the manufacturing costs.
It should also be mentioned that many standards prohibit spot welding of C profiles due to the possible internal rusting of the profiles.
3, a profile 10 according to the invention for the production of panels 2 (see FIG. 1) can be seen therein. The profile 10 is generally rectangular, but its upper narrow side has a projection 11 which extends over the entire length of the profile and which has side walls 11 a, 11 a which each diverge at an angle a towards the end of the projection. The side walls 11a finally merge into a curve and then a straight top surface 11b. The lower narrow side of the profile 10 in turn has a recess or longitudinal groove 12 which extends over the entire length of the profile and has side walls (groove cheeks) 12a, 12a, each of which converge at an angle a to the opening of the recess, the groove cheeks and recesses can also be of different lengths.
The depth and width of the recess 12 and the height and width of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Projections 11 are selected in such a way that they are complementary to one another, a certain scope being possible and desirable.
The choice of material and the type of manufacture of the profile is not restricted in any more detail. Steel or aluminum, for example, are particularly suitable.
In Fig. 4 it is shown how two of the profiles 10 of Fig. 3 are nested along their length to form a plate. It can be seen that the projection and the recess of the profiles are pushed into one another in the manner of a dovetail connection, as a result of which the resulting plate has considerable strength and
Has torsional stiffness.
Figures 5 and 6 show a perspective view of applications of the plates according to the invention in connection with various rails in the
Manhole lining. 5 shows slide rails 15 which are held in pairs at a distance from one another by struts 16, the slide rails 15 having guide grooves for receiving plates 2. At the construction site, the slide rails 15 are first inserted into a shaft or an excavation pit and, if necessary, additionally pressed into the ground. Thereafter, the plates 2 are inserted into the guide grooves of the slide rails and pressed down, wherein if necessary, extension plates can be used, which can be connected by eyelets and bolts, as indicated by the eyelets on the underside of the top plate 2.
6 shows the use of the plates 2 according to the invention in the shaft shoring with so-called corner slide rails 17.
