Profile systems of the type mentioned are usually arranged in the edge region between the wall and floor or wall and ceiling, in particular to make this area aesthetically. From DE 1 810 539 A further a final profile for the design of the transition between a wall and the floor is known, which has a base profile and an insertable cover strip, wherein the base profile a Putzabzugskante for flush-laying the base profile and a holding section for receiving the cover strip has. The cover strip can be put into the basic profile after completion of the plastering work.

Many conventional profile systems are essentially rigid in their construction and can hardly be adapted to local conditions.

In this context, from the CH 501 126 A, a skirting board has become known, which has a substantially U-shaped cross-section and is fastened with a wide land area on the unpainted masonry. For fastening serve screws, which are passed through slots in the land area and located behind rubber buffers and screwed into the masonry. It is therefore an object of the invention to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art and to provide a profile system available that is easy and flexible to install while ensuring an aesthetic appearance.

This object is achieved by the basic profile slots and mounting screws for height adjustment and separate screws for tilt adjustment. In contrast to the prior art, in particular CH 501 126 A, can thus be carried out in an advantageous manner, the height adjustment and attachment of the base profile to the wall, regardless of the inclination adjustment and the distance setting of the wall. In addition, an exact determination and alignment of the basic profile by the use of screws instead of rubber buffers. The height adjustability of the base profile has the advantage that after the assembly of the profile system according to the invention also at a later time corrections can be made. Likewise, the screws in the base profile are suitable, if necessary, to change the inclination of the profile system to the ground to which it is attached. Here, preferably, the slots and screws are covered in the base profile of the cover strip to preserve the aesthetic appearance.

According to the invention, the base profile has a holding section which serves to receive the cover strip. The cover strip can be made of any material, for example, as a flat or profiled wooden strip of solid wood or veneered, plastic or metal such as aluminum.

In a further particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one receiving space for lamps, such as LED, and / or cable is arranged in the base profile.
