Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Process for making copies of double-sided sheets or the like.

   Reproduction process for making copies of double-sided sheets and the like The like. In which a silver-bromide gelatin plate or a silver-bromide paper with the light-sensitive layer is placed on the original to be copied and illuminated from the back, are already known. The result is a negative image of the original, since the light penetrating through the light-sensitive layer is absorbed in the black areas when it falls on the original, but is reflected in the white areas. In order to obtain an easily readable copy that corresponds to the original, one must make a positive print of the negative.

   Working with these bromide silver layers is made more difficult by the fact that the degree of aopier cannot be directly recognized because the images only become visible through a photographic development process.
 EMI1.1
 Pages printed on one side are made much easier and cheaper by using chlorosilver transparencies instead of silver bromide paper or silver bromide plates.
 EMI1.2
 Allow entire treatment in daylight and finally platinum can also be used. With these, in spite of the low sensitivity to light, equally good results are achieved with simpler work and, in addition, the advantage is achieved that the copy can be observed during exposure to determine the degree of copying in full daylight.

   Since it is easy to determine whether the exposure time was sufficient, the method can be used with particular success in libraries or the like and by less experienced people. The fixing of the images can then be carried out at the other location and by other people.

   It should also be mentioned that in particular those slide films can also be used which are copied or. be developed, d. H. in which after a short lighting respectively. after a short copying the image appears only faint and then only becomes sharp when bathing, in contrast to such slide films, which are completely, i. H. must be copied much longer to achieve the necessary contrast
