<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht des Setztableaus.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a skill and observation game with a bowl-shaped bowl, in which a thrown ball rolls into one of several marked recordings, and with a setting tableau, the fields containing a plurality of setting symbols on a plate-shaped base for placing chips or od ...., The boiler contains an annular, rotationally symmetrical, concave orbit for approximately tangentially to be thrown balls, which on the outer edge of a, with an inner groove, a raised stop ring and on the inner edge by an annular ring of recessed compartments for receiving the thrown ball is limited.
Such games are designed to train the players' ability to observe and react. If there are two concentric circular markings on the orbit of the boiler, observation, and with appropriate practice, can be used to precisely predict in which subject the thrown ball will ultimately remain, based on the track of the ball inserted between the outer and inner marking rings , so that you can label this compartment on the corresponding setting board after the ball has passed the outer marking ring and has not yet reached the inner marking ring.
However, in order to achieve and ensure smooth and uniform running of the respectively thrown ball along a spiral curve over the concave orbit, it has been found that it is necessary to limit the inclination of the concave orbit.
Corresponding fields with placement symbols, for example numbers and / or pictures, are arranged on the placement tableau of the compartments of the boiler. The placement symbols are provided in rows arranged on the placement board. They must be arranged in such a way that the player with a set stone or the like can only occupy immediately successive fields or set symbols, such as numbers, but not at the same time non-contiguous set symbols, because this could make the observation game a game of chance, which is undesirable.
Related symbols, such as numbers, may be used because the observation and determination of the point at which the ball passes the outer marking ring does not necessarily have to be exact. Then, however, the player should be able to show on the placement board at least approximately where the ball is likely to remain.
The invention has for its object to improve a skill and observation game of the type mentioned in such a way that the balls thrown into the boiler roll particularly uniformly over the inclined orbit of the boiler and thus a better prediction of the subject in which the ball is located remains possible and that a setting stone on the setting table can only be used in one row of immediately successive fields.
This object is achieved with a game of the type mentioned, which has the characterizing features of the main claim. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
If the angle of inclination of the concave or funnel-shaped orbit of the boiler to the horizontal is 1 0 to 100 and preferably 4 to 7 and more preferably 4 to 6, a smooth and uniform running of the ball thrown in is ensured along a spiral curve from the outside in, whereby the ball's trajectory is not too short to allow the player to predict with certainty from the point where the ball passes the outer marking ring the subject in which the ball will ultimately remain.
A uniform insertion and thus a smooth and uniform circulation of the balls in the kettle of the present invention can be further improved in that a channel-shaped inlet arm for the individual balls is arranged on the device so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis, this inlet arm being approximately tangential within the high end stops. With an infeed arm of this type, it can be ensured that the individual balls are not only thrown in within the upstanding stop ring, but also initially run along the inside of this stop ring in their orbit before they detach from the stop ring and on a spiral track to the center of the boiler continue rolling the device.
This improves the synchronization of the thrown balls and makes it even easier to determine the compartment in which the spiral-shaped ball finally lies.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The synchronism of the thrown balls and thus the determinability of the subject in which the ball in question ultimately lies, solely on the basis of observation, can be further improved by the fact that the bowl with the circular orbit is a solid rotating body and consists, for example, of annealed steel .
According to a further feature of the invention, the base of the setting table has barriers and / or barriers such as recesses or elevations, which separate the fields provided in a compact arrangement and contain setting symbols in such a way that only in a sequence are contiguous fields adjacent to one another and thus with one another a set stone or the like can be occupied together. In this way it is ensured that the occupancy of the fields leading to a profit is determined solely by the observation of the player and there is no risk that the observation game can be changed into a game of chance.
Preferably, the recesses of the base of the setting table are cutouts starting from at least one side of the base, the rows containing the setting symbols being arranged in a zigzag arrangement. In such an arrangement, the recesses are preferably wedge-shaped or triangular. So that not consecutive fields across the recesses cannot be jointly covered with a setting stone or the like, on the one hand the setting stones should have correspondingly small dimensions or dimensions and on the other hand the recesses themselves should be sufficiently wide in the tip area.
A tip angle of approximately 15 degrees has proven to be expedient for the wedge-shaped or triangular recesses.
The wedge-shaped cutouts are preferably provided alternately against one another, starting from opposite sides of the base of the setting panel. In this way, a setting tableau of limited dimensions according to the invention can be formed which is clearly arranged.
According to a further feature of the invention, further setting fields are provided on the long sides of the base of the setting table which contain symbols as a guide, for example references to the numbers and / or images or symbols contained in the adjacent rows of fields. As a result, the placement tableau according to the invention becomes clear and makes it easier for the player to find the fields to be placed after observation. These lateral setting fields also serve as a further setting option, with the placement of a stone on these setting fields means that the use relates in each case to the total number of fields located in the rows concerned, which extend to the setting field located on the opposite long side.
Although the invention is overwritten here on the basis of a flat setting tableau, the base of the tableau can also be designed in such a way that instead of the recesses or wedge-shaped cutouts or in addition to these, zigzag-shaped fields arranged on a row as barriers act as barriers Serving surveys are provided, which prevent the setting stones or the like from being placed on two non-immediately successive fields over the barriers or recesses or to adjacent sections of the zigzag-shaped arrangement. The recesses and / or barriers can also have a rectangular or other plan.
The setting tableau according to the invention is designed as a blackboard or plate, and it can be used both in a horizontal arrangement, for example as a plate of a table, and in a vertical arrangement, for example hanging on a wall. Also, angular positions of the setting panel located between these two extreme positions are conceivable and possible.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the skill and observation game according to the invention is shown schematically, namely shows
1 is a plan view of the bowl-shaped bowl of the game,
Fig. 2 shows a cross section of the boiler along line 11-11 of Figure 1 and
Fig. 3 is a plan view of the setting table.
The game of skill and observation shown in the drawing has a boiler 1 which is circular in plan and which, as shown in particular in FIG. 2, has an annular disk body 2 formed in one piece from solid material. This disc body 2 is a
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
full rotating body and is preferably made of high quality steel such as steel St. 60.
In the upper side, the disk body contains a concave recess 3, which is formed by a raised stop ring 4 on the outer circumference and an adjoining annular and conically inwardly extending orbit 5. In the center of the boiler 1 there is a disk-shaped insert 6, which can be made of the same material or different material as the disk body.
The raised outer stop ring 4 has on the inside a rounded groove 7, the radius of which corresponds to the diameter of the balls to be inserted into the boiler 1, not shown here, so that these balls can roll in the groove 7 along the stop ring 4 before they enter Roll a spiral path over the inclined orbit 5 in the direction of the central disc-shaped insert 6.
On the inclined orbit 5, two concentric ring-shaped markings 8 and 9 are provided, which give the player the opportunity to estimate the spiral path of the balls in order to be able to predict where the thrown-in ball will ultimately remain.
Adjoining the lower edge of the orbit 5, an annular ring of recessed compartments 10 is provided in the disc-shaped insert 6 of the boiler 1, each of which is so large that it can accommodate a ball. A marking, for example a number, is provided in each of these compartments 10 for identification so that the compartment which after the observation of the player finally picks up the thrown ball can be designated and determined, for example, on the setting board
The concave orbit 5 is inclined at an angle a to the horizontal, which is between 10 and 100. Preferably, the angle a is between 40 and 70, and more preferably between 4 and 6. A reasonable average might be 50.
The disc body 2 of the boiler 1 is made of stable and heavy material so that it cannot warp or throw. The disc body is preferably made in one piece from high-quality steel, as already mentioned above.
The setting tableau shown in plan view in FIG. 3 is plate-shaped and can either be a table top or also an element to be attached to another base including a wall.
The tablet 11 intended for observation and setting by means of setting stones or the like, not shown here, is designed in the form of a plate 12 which is rectangular in plan and which has a number and sequence of fields 13 in a zigzag arrangement on the top, each field being one Symbol 14, here a number, contains.
The zigzag arrangement of the successive fields 13 is caused in the present case by wedge-shaped incisions 15, which alternately protrude from the one and the other longitudinal edge of the plate 12 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis or longitudinal extension thereof. The tip angle of these cutouts or incisions 15 is about 15 degrees or less in the illustrated embodiment.
On the longitudinal edges 16 and 17 of the plate 12, further setting fields 18 and 19 are provided and arranged, which contain notices 20 or symbols 21, which enable the user of the setting table to quickly grasp certain symbols or number combinations and / or color hints to give him the opportunity to set the setting stone or the like quickly and without delay according to his observation.
The outside placement fields 18, 19, 22 and 23 are provided as a further placement option, with the bet on one of these fields referring to the total number of those fields in the row, for example from one symbol field to the number combination field of the opposite one Reach the long side. In the case of the setting fields 19 located on the left side of the setting table, the fields in the rows to which the application relates are clearly identified by numerical designation. The setting fields 18, 22, 23 located on the right-hand side refer to those fields in the rows which are identified by color coding on this side field.
For example, the field column with the numbers 1 to 6 is executed in black color and the edge symbol of the setting field 22 is also black. The fields with the number symbols 7 to 12 are executed in red, corresponding to the setting field 18. The fields with the numbers 13 to 18 and the symbol 21 are again black, the fields with the number symbols 19 to 24 and the setting field 23 are red. With a setting
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Stein can therefore set a group of six consecutive numbers, which reduces the risk for inexperienced players. The different design of the side fields in numbers on the one hand and colors on the other hand is done for visual reasons.
The fields of the setting panel 11 are arranged in a row, while the associated compartments 10 of the boiler 1 are arranged in a circle. In order to also enable a check from the field 24 containing the number 0 to the field 25 located at the other end of the placement tableau 11 and containing the symbol X, the two fields 24 and 25 arranged at the end of the placement tableau are designed twice, d. H. they each contain two marks or symbols, namely the number 0 and the symbol X, in opposite order or sequence.
The disc body 2 of the boiler is preferably made of high quality steel, for example of quality St. 60, but it could also be made of aluminum or model wood.
Boiler 1 and setting board 11 are matched to one another in such a way that the fields of the setting board face an equal number of compartments 10 of the boiler. In this case, as shown in the drawing, twenty-five fields and subjects do not always have to be provided. Rather, a smaller as well as a larger number is conceivable and possible.
