Fig. 1 den prinzipiellen Aufbau eines Batterie-Packs und

The invention relates to a battery pack (battery pack) in which to achieve a voltage of 7.5 volts and a corresponding capacity, five groups of three parallel batteries of 1.5 volts or rechargeable batteries form a cascade are connected, which are accommodated in a sleeve-shaped housing (standard housing) with given dimensions for spatial reasons on four floors, three battery cells being arranged on the top floor and four battery cells on the three floors below.
In a known battery pack of this type, five cascaded groups of three battery cells each are unevenly distributed over the four floors. Only the battery cells of the first and last group of the cascade are of the same design and are arranged on each floor, while the battery cells of the third and fourth group of the cascade are each arranged on two floors, namely two battery cells the third and fourth groups on the third floor and a battery cell of the third group on the second floor and a battery cell of the fourth group on the fourth floor.
Furthermore, the two battery cell pairs on the third floor are arranged upside down to one another, just as the third battery cell of the third and fourth groups are arranged upside down with respect to the battery cells of the assigned floor, in order to get the shortest possible switching connections.
This irregular battery cell structure requires an increased manufacturing effort. In addition, there are not only uneven current distributions between the battery cells of the groups, but also longer connecting lines with increased voltage drops.
The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a battery pack for 7.5 volts which does not have the aforementioned disadvantages and also brings about a noticeable increase in capacity.
This object is achieved in that the first four groups of battery cells in the cascade are configured and arranged identically in all four floors, and in that the three battery cells in the fifth and last group in the cascade are divided between the three lowest floors. With this battery structure, the manufacturing effort can be significantly reduced and a more uniform current distribution can be achieved.
The battery cell assigned to the bottom floor is preferably opposite, the battery cell assigned to the floor above is the same and the battery cell assigned to the next floor above is arranged opposite the three battery cells of the assigned group of the cascade connected in parallel. This has the advantage of very short electrical connections and thus lower voltage drops in the connecting lines during the discharge and also during the charging process, which in turn brings an increase in capacity.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which an exemplary embodiment is shown; show it :
Fig. 1 shows the basic structure of a battery pack and
Fig. 2 is a clear representation of the arrangement of the battery cells.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a sleeve-shaped housing in which the battery cells Z1 to Z15 are housed. A conductive end cap 2 forms the negative pole of the battery pack and an insulating washer 4 carrying the positive pole 3 forms the upper end of the battery pack.
As stated above, the battery cells Z1 to Z12 of the first four groups of the cascade are accommodated in the sleeve-shaped housing on four levels I to IV. The three battery times Z1 to Z3 connected in parallel are arranged on the first floor I. In the other three floors 11, 111 and IV, the following battery cells Z4 to Z6, Z7 to Z9 and Z10 to Z12 are of completely identical design and arrangement.
As can be seen, the fifth group, consisting of the three battery cells Z13 to Z15, is divided into floors 11 to IV. In order to obtain the shortest possible switching connections, the battery cell Z13 is arranged opposite to the battery cells Z10 to Z12 of the fourth group in the cascade, just like the battery cell Z15 to the battery cells Z4 to Z6 of the second group on the floor 11. On the other hand, the battery cell Z14 is arranged in the same way as the battery cells Z7 to Z9 of the third group on the level 111.
As can be seen, the output of the fourth group arranged on the floor IV is connected via an electrical connection line 5 both to the battery cell Z13 and to the battery cells Z14 and Z15. The battery cells Z13 to Z15 are connected to the negative pole 2 via the connecting lines 6 and 7.
