Dampfstrahlpumpe.

Steam jet pump.
The invention relates to injectors in which the liquid deck in the delivery chamber controls the movement of an overflow valve. However, difficulties often arise in the operation of such steam jet pumps because the pressure in the overflow chamber also acts at the inlet end of the union nozzle. The overflow valve in the overflow chamber is held in its seat by the pressure in the delivery chamber of the injector by exposing a piston, a diaphragm or the like to the pressure in the delivery chamber and being connected to a lever which acts on the valve.
When pumping hot water, a high pressure will occur in the overflow chamber due to the high temperature of the steam jet, since the overflow valve is kept closed by the pressure in the conveying chamber. This pressure acting on the jet tries to break it up and thereby cancel the effective operation of the injector. Furthermore, the steam from the steam nozzles cannot escape easily enough when the injector is started, because the pressure in the delivery chamber tends to reduce the overflow

is lifted.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce these difficulties and to spare an injector that works completely automatically and is able to deliver hot feed water. The invention consists in that with an injector, which is provided in a known manner with an overflow valve regulated by the pressure in the delivery chamber, a special connection point, the connection point

water a sow effect is exerted. The incoming feed water is forced to surround the steam jet in the form of a thin envelope, and the feed water moves at great speed. During normal operation of the injector there is a complete or partial vacuum between the steam nozzles bund a, while Drtt (. K prevails beyond the steam nozzle a.
It is therefore between the interior of the miscndua and the

which can occur in space g when the injector is turned on although there is no delivery, or when the steam jet in nozzle c breaks off. This valve also prevents the ingress of air when the injector is working normally and when, as described above, there is a vacuum in the space 9.
By using an unloaded valve in the space y, which contains a slot between the outlet ends of the two steam nozzles b and a, the injector is able to start BEZW within a short time. Starting to become steam-free again. The use of automatic regulating devices for the valve e and a supplementary water supply line to the space y enable the injector to work automatically with hot feed water and steam under high pressure.
It is advantageous to have an ordinary flap on the mixing nozzle for connection to the Ratim. f to be arranged so that the pressure in the slot o provided at the outlet end of this space, which pressure is greater than in the flap n, cannot be transferred to the mixing nozzle. The flap n opens when the injector is started and allows the ampf to escape from the mixing nozzle fi'i; The water valve p opens towards the space 9 under the suction effect of the steam jet which passes through the mixing nozzle c in order to allow the inflow of water to this steam jet.
This inflowing water cools the steam and reduces the pressure in the space f during the operation of the injector.
In the arrangement shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, instead of a slot 1n leading to the chamber g, a flap r is arranged at the junction of the nozzles. However, the pint flap could also be used in connection with a slot, namely the arrangement could be used both with and without an inlet valve p.
If desired, the overflow valve e can be arranged so that it is in direct communication with the outside air instead of with the common overflow channel h. Instead of an appern in the connecting nozzle that opens towards the chamber j, an additional slot or a sliding nozzle could also be provided.
