<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a cooling bunker for hot bulk goods, in particular for red-hot coke, with a prechamber upstream of the cooling chamber and a cooling gas distribution device in the lower region of the cooling chamber and a gas collecting chamber in the upper region, in which the prechamber opens into the cooling chamber and the gas collecting chamber surrounds the inlet opening in a ring , whereby the exhaust duct for the heated cooling gas connects to the gas collecting space.
Coke dry cooling systems with a prechamber (DE-AS 1, 471, 589) are known, the practical disadvantage of which was the release of coke dust from the coke bed between the prechamber and the cooling chamber due to the high cooling gas outlet velocity, and this hot dust on the one hand the heat radiation exposure of the annular collecting chamber, which acts as a cyclone and therefore also showed signs of erosion and dust deposits, caused an uncomfortable burden and, on the other hand, caused the dusts mentioned in downstream system parts to cause difficulties. AT-PS 367.539 improved the situation by reducing the amount of cooling gas required, with some of the heat being absorbed by radiation directly from cooling surfaces without the interposition of the cooling gas, so that the dust pollution was also indirectly reduced.
As a result, the desire to omit hot gas dedusting between the cooling chamber and the recooling heat exchanger became loud. The present invention has set itself the task of reducing the exit velocity of the cooling gas from the coke bed and thus reducing the dust pollution of the cooling gas circulating.
The present invention is characterized in that the annular gas collection space at the level of the inlet opening from the antechamber into the cooling chamber has a 1.5 to 3 times the thickness on its side facing the connection of the exhaust duct as on the opposite side, and the connection of the Antechamber is thus arranged eccentrically to the central axis on which the cooling gas distribution device lies, the cooling chamber.
Essential configurations of the invention are specified in subclaims 2 to 9. Surprisingly, it was recognized in the implementation of the invention that the bulk material transport through the cooling chamber is also favorably influenced by the invention in that the bulk material in the cooling chamber always fully participates in the transport movement through the cooling chamber and not, as previously, mainly the central core, a significantly larger one Carried out transport movement, while the peripheral zones showed two to three times the residence time in the cooling chamber.
Another positive effect can be determined by the uneven cooling gas supply over the circumference of the cooling gas distributor, because this allows the separation of the bulk material into coarser and finer particles to be taken into account better, so that the expulsion speed of the cooling gas in the area of the bulk material cone between the pre-chamber and the cooling chamber is evened out and this again reduces the dust.
The invention is shown in the attached drawing, for example and schematically. Fig. 1 shows a vertical section through the cooling bunker, Fig. 2 shows a horizontal section through the prechamber. According to FIG. 1, the cooling bunker according to the invention has a gas collecting space (1) between the antechamber (3) and the cooling chamber (6), the lower space boundary of which is formed by the cone (10) of the bulk material piled up in the cooling chamber (6). The upper part of the gas collecting space (1) is a ceiling (11) which is formed by the funnel (12) of the prechamber (3), which constricts the flow of bulk material and thus contributes to the formation of the cone (10) or enables it in the first place.
The outer wall of the gas collecting space (1) is formed by the common wall (14) of the cooling chamber (6) and also the antechamber (3), an annular support (9) on which the antechamber (3) is supported and attached which the cooling chamber (6) is arranged hanging. This has the advantage that the exhaust duct (2) for the hot circulating cooling gas does not cause large thermal expansions between the cold and warm states, so that the distance between the cooling chamber (6) and the recooling heat exchanger (17) can be kept relatively short.
The cooling gas is fed from the recooling heat exchanger (17) via a blower (18) to a cooling gas distribution device (5) which is divided into several subsections, for example four, which have a separate feed line in which control valves (19) for the cooling gas distribution are arranged, so that the cooling gas distribution can be regulated according to the bulk quantity stored above it and according to grain size. In the construction of the cooling bunker it is striking that the inlet opening (7) from the antechamber (3) into the cooling chamber (6) is arranged eccentrically, and therefore the pouring cone (10) also has a different flank length.
In this sense, the gas collecting space (1) is also designed with an asymmetrical ring-shaped profile, so that the gas collecting space (1) has a 1.5 to 3 times the thickness on the side of the larger cross section than on the opposite side and, as it were, the wall (14) forms a spiral housing in which the amount of cooling gas flowing through the gas collecting space (1) increases towards the exhaust (2) at the same gas velocity. To reduce the amount of cooling gas, a cooling screen (15) is arranged in the gas collecting space (1), which is not touched by the bulk material and therefore does not suffer any signs of abrasion from the flowing bulk material. Through these measures, less dust is also whirled up by reducing the average cooling gas speed.
The cooling screen (15) is thermally connected to the recooling heat exchanger (17), that is, if the recooling heat exchanger is designed as a steam generator, it forms the radiation superheater or, in the case of a circulation steam generator, the radiation evaporator of the entire steam generator system. A removal device (8) is arranged in the lower end of the cooling chamber (6) and also extends eccentrically to the central axis (4).
The eccentricity is selected so that the connecting line (16) between the center of the inlet opening and the center of the removal device (8) the central axis (4) of the cooling chamber (6)
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
cuts so that the direction of flow of the bulk material is guided out of the vertical line, as a result of which the gravity component contributes to the uniform flow of the bulk material through the cooling chamber due to the internal frictional forces. In this sense, it has also been found to be favorable that the inclinations of the removal funnel in the removal device (8) have a different inclination, so that the pressure of the bulk material can be kept uniform during the removal.
To illustrate the geometric relationships, a horizontal section is shown in FIG. 2, from which the eccentricity relationships can be better recognized. However, the invention is by no means limited to square cooling bunker cross sections and gives particular advantages in the case of round cross sections, which, however, are less clear.
