The flat ends 18 are rotatably mounted in recesses 21) ei 23 located on the side and outside of the closure housing 22. The rearwardly protruding arms of the levers 18 grip with their free ends into the mouths formed by one of the arms of the angled levers 24 that are pivoted in at 25 on the outside and on the side of the lock housing 22.
The other arms of the angle lever 24 are rotatably connected by len bolts 28 with a wedge-shaped arm 26 which is movable above the trigger spring 27 and is guided on the lower surfaces of the housing side walls. On the same bolt 28, a second, longer arm 29 lying on the arm 26 is rotatably mounted, which extends between the housing side walls and is rounded off by a rivet with the arm 26 in such a way that it only rotates slightly relative to it can experience.
The recesses 21 serving to accommodate the levers 18 are expediently covered by protective plates (not shown) and the part of the device attached to the barrel is surrounded by a housing 30 provided with openings for the key and the magazine box screw. A spring 31 fastened in the housing 30 always seeks to turn the lever 15 in such a way that the housing 8 is pressed against the flange 3 of the plug 2.
In the fore-end 32 a bore 33 is provided below the housing 8, the axis of which coincides with the axis of the pin 5 or 13. In the bore 33 there is a ring 34, the inner diameter of which corresponds to the outer diameter of the key shank, the outer diameter of which, however, is at least equal to the outer key shank diameter, increased by twice the key bit width. The ring 34 is rigidly connected to a plate 35 embedded in the outside of the shaft and has a recess 36 (FIG. 9) for the key bit to pass through.
In the plate 35 a hole 37 coaxial with the ring 34 is provided, the diameter of which is equal to the outer diameter of the key shaft increased by twice the width of the first narrower shoulder of the key bit. A ring 38 is rotatably mounted in this hole 37, the clear diameter of which is equal to the clear diameter of the ring 34. The ring 38 is slit in a width corresponding to the thickness of the key bit (FIG. 8).
Adjacent to the hole 37, recesses 39 are provided on opposite sides in the plate 35 for the passage of the lower, wider step of the key bit.
In order to be able to insert the key, the slot of the ring 38 must coincide with one of the recesses 39, whereupon the key can be inserted until the lower, broader shoulder of the key bit has passed through the plate 35 and hits the ring 34. The key must now be turned with the ring 338 until the key bit or the recess; 36 arrives in ring 34, whereupon the key also passes through this ring 34

Head kicks.
When the rifle is ready for sniper shooting, the parts have the position illustrated in FIG. 3: The pins 10 are located in the deepest part of the slots 11 and are held in this position by the spring 12, the pin 5 with its reinforced end 6 lies in the enlarged part of the bore 4 and therefore does not protrude into the bore of the barrel 1. The levers 15, 18, 24 have the same position as in FIG. 1, the arms 26, 29 not preventing the movements of the trigger spring 27 when the trigger 40 is actuated.
If the device is now to be set in such a way that it only allows the firing of drill cartridges, the key exerts pressure on the head 9 against the action of the spring 12, so that the pins 10 rise up in the slots 11, whereupon the Key and with it the head 9 and pin 5 rotated until the pins 10 are in the upper end of the slots 11, the end of the pin 5, as shown in FIG. 1, enters the bore of the barrel 1. The spring 31 holds the housing 8 firmly in its position, so that the remaining parts of the device do not experience any change in position.
If a blind cartridge is now inserted, its paper plug cannot
Push back pin 5 and with it the head 9 and the housing 8 against the action of the correspondingly strongly selected spring 31 and actuate the locking device. Rather, the pin 5 presses the hollow paper plug in at this point and the blind cartridge can therefore be fired unhindered.
If, on the other hand, a sharp cartridge is inserted with this setting of the device, the projectile pushes the pin 5 and with it head 9 and housing 8 back against the action of the spring 37, whereby the levers 15, 18, 24 and the arms 26 are also rotated , 29 get into the position shown in FIG. The arm 26 is guided on the lower surfaces of the side walls of the lock housing in such a way that it and the arm 29 rest on the trigger spring 27 and prevent its upward movement, so that the trigger 40 does not move backwards and therefore also the sear 41 cannot be moved downwards. The trigger is therefore locked and the live cartridge cannot be fired.
