Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a drinking vessel, in particular a Roman, with a musical mechanism built into a plate in its hollow base.
It is already known in the case of such drinking vessels that conical fitting surfaces are formed on the inner wall of the foot and the plate carrying the musical mechanism and are connected to one another by gluing. However, this gluing, which extends over the entire circumference of the fitting surfaces, significantly reduces the quality of the sound reproduction of the musical work, since the sound waves cannot escape unhindered from inside the foot.
According to the invention, this disadvantage is remedied in that a shoulder running parallel to the contact surface and having a ring-like end face is formed on the inner wall of the foot, which is provided with elevations for supporting the plate carrying the musical mechanism, which has dimensions such that a Distance remains. In this way, free passages are left between the elevations, which allow the sound waves to propagate better, as a result of which the sound quality is significantly improved.
A plurality of elevations are preferably provided at equal intervals along the circumference of the end wall, whereby the installation of the musical mechanism is facilitated.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention in the form of a Roman with a musical mechanism is described with reference to the drawings, which illustrate a bottom view of the foot in FIG. 1 and a side view of the Roman, partially in vertical section, in FIG.
EMI1.1
-5- - windable footprint-7 - starts playing.
Near the opening of the foot - 2 - an annular end wall --8 - is formed on its inner wall, which runs parallel to the contact surface - 7 - and has five elevations - 9 - distributed at equal intervals along its circumference which the top of the support plate --3-- for the musical work --4-- in the usual way, e.g. B. by gluing, can be fixed.
There are therefore free passages between the elevations --9-- along the front wall --8--, since here the support plate --3-- lies at a distance from the front wall -8 - of the foot-2 - and through this The sound waves are able to pass through free spaces when the musical work-4-is played.
