<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
14 in Eingriff kommen.
Fig. 1).
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Motor vehicle transmission with safety device against unintentional rolling of the vehicle
The invention relates to a motor vehicle transmission with a shift rod to be operated by a gearshift lever, one end position of which is assigned to the reverse gear and whose middle position is assigned to the neutral position (gearbox idle), and aims to completely secure the vehicle against unintentional rolling.
It is known to secure motor vehicles with conventional gear change gears when parking against unintentional rolling by engaging a gear and thus using the rotational resistance of the non-running internal combustion engine to immobilize the motor vehicle. On steeply sloping roads and to prevent the vehicle from being moved by unauthorized persons, this motor resistance is definitely not sufficient. In the case of semi-automatic transmissions and vehicles with automatic clutch or with a freewheel, there is often only a limited one
Possibility of securing the vehicle against rolling by engaging a gear, since there is usually no rigid drive connection between the engine and the gearbox in both directions of rotation.
The invention achieves complete securing of the shutdown motor vehicle against rolling without a brake having to be applied. It is proposed for the transmission mentioned at the outset that a locking device, known per se and having two parts that can be positively coupled to one another, can be switched on and off is provided, one part of which is in drive connection with the output shaft and the other part of which is non-rotatably supported, one part of which for the purpose of Switching the locking device is designed to be movable and is directly or indirectly connected to the shift rod, the two parts of the locking device only being in engagement with one another in the locked position of the shift rod and thus the output shaft being blocked.
A toothed clutch with a coupling sleeve displaceable by means of a lever has already become known, in one end position of which the input and output shafts are connected and in the other end position of which the output shaft is blocked. However, this proposal was not made in connection with a motor vehicle transmission in which several gear ratios of the output shaft can be achieved and in which the shift lever is used to shift the gear ratios, and in particular not in connection with a motor vehicle transmission having the aforementioned gear shift scheme.
The particular expediency of the measure proposed according to the invention is that in the case of the motor vehicle transmissions mentioned at the beginning. in which the reverse gear is effected in one end position and the neutral position in the middle position of the shift rod and the other end position is thus previously unused, now this other end position is used, u. zw. Such that a complete locking of the driven gears is achieved without much additional effort.
According to a special proposal of the invention, the movable part of the locking device is designed as a pawl, known per se, fixedly articulated or displaceable in a fixed guide, the other part of the locking device having corresponding teeth. Even more expedient with regard to the construction costs is another proposal based on a transmission in which the movable part of the locking device is axially displaceable on the output shaft or on another transmission shaft in permanent drive connection, but non-rotatably arranged and the other part is stationary is arranged and both parts can be coupled by means of teeth, and consists in
that
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the switching rod and the movable part are brought into operative connection via two one-armed levers that are pivotably connected to one another in the manner of a toggle joint, with the
Joints of these levers lie on a straight line. If the lever joints lie on a straight line or even a little further, a safeguard against accidental sliding back of the coupling element is initially provided. Furthermore, when the lever joints form approximately a straight line, when
Inserting and, in particular, releasing the same, a greater force is available on the coupling element than has to be applied on the shift lever.
To better release a locking device provided with teeth, it is also proposed to bevel these teeth in a manner known per se in the actuating direction of the movable part of the locking device so that the tooth surfaces of the teeth in engagement stand out from one another when the shift rod is switched to cancel the locking position .
The invention is illustrated in the drawings using several exemplary embodiments. Show here:
1 shows a motor vehicle transmission with shift sleeves and a pawl in a longitudinal section (simplified), FIG. 2 shows a partial section of the transmission according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows the associated gear shift scheme, FIG. 4 shows an end view of the pawl and the associated counter-coupling element, 5 shows a partial section of a further motor vehicle transmission with shifting gears (simplified), FIG. 6 shows a partial section along the line yy in FIG. 5, and FIG. 7 shows a variant of the transmission according to FIG. 5.
In the transmission shown in FIG. 1, an input shaft 1 is provided with a spur gear 2.
This meshes with a spur gear 3 which is firmly seated on a countershaft 4. On the countershaft 4 four further spur gears 5, 6, 7 and 8 are keyed, which mesh with spur gears 10, 11 and 12 or 13, of which the spur gears 10, 11 and 12 are loosely rotatably arranged on an output shaft 9, whereas the spur gear 13 is seated on an intermediate shaft 15 and meshes with a further spur gear 14 loosely rotatable on the output shaft 9. Between the end edges 2 and 10 as well as 11 and 12 and also between the spur gear 14 and the adjacent wall of the gear housing 16 is a shift sleeve 17, 18 or
19 non-rotatable, but. mounted axially displaceably on the output shaft 9. The shift sleeves have claw teeth 20, 21 and 22 which, when the shift sleeves 17, 18 and 19 are axially displaced, with corresponding claw teeth 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 of the adjacent spur gears 2, 10, 11, 12 and 14 in Intervention come. The axial displacement of the shift sleeves 17, 18 and 19 is effected by shift forks 29, 30 and 31, respectively. Each of these shift forks 29, 30 and 31 is equipped with a shift rod 32, 33 and 34 (cf.
Fig. 2) firmly connected, which are mounted in the housing 16 parallel to the output shaft 9 and can be moved by a gearshift lever 35, u. by means of a shift finger 36 located at the lower end of the gearshift lever 35 and provided with a ball 36a, which, depending on the position of the gearshift lever, engages in a recess 41, 42 or 43 of the shift rods. The shift rod 34 also has three adjacent locking notches 38, in one of which, depending on the position of the shift rod 34, a ball 39 is pressed by a spring 40, whereby the axial position of the shift rod 34 is fixed in three specific locations. The shift rods 32 and 33 have corresponding locking notches (not shown).
On the hub 31a of the shift fork 31 attached to the shift rod 34, a lever 47 is articulated which is connected to a pawl 48 articulated on the gear housing 16 and which pivots when the shift rod 34 is moved, u. Zw. Such that in the right end position (locking position P) of the shift rod 34, the tooth 49 of the pawl 48 engages in the toothing of a gear 28 wedged on the output shaft 9 and thus blocks the output shaft 9. The locking position P (parking lock), in which the transmission output shaft is positively locked, is thus switched on. In the neutral position or in the left end position of the shift rod 34, however, the pawl 48 is out of engagement.
The tooth 49 of the pawl 48 and the teeth 28a of the gear 28 have - as can be seen from FIG. 4 - such bevels that when the switching rod 34 is moved to cancel the locking position, these two toothings are lifted off. If a vehicle brake is actuated when the blocking position is canceled, the further loosening of the toothing is now easy.
According to the scheme shown in Fig. 3, the shift rod 33 is used to shift the first and second gear, the shift rod 32 for shifting the third and fourth gear and the shift rod 34 for shifting the reverse gear R and the locked position P. With all shift rods in the middle position (neutral position N ) the gearbox is idling (input and output separate and free).
Furthermore, in Fig. 2, a ramp 37 is shown, which is arranged between the shift rods 33 and 34, u. between the recesses 42 and 43. The ramp is located on a guide block 44 cast onto the housing 16 (see FIG. 1). If the shift finger 36 of the gear shift lever 35 is to be guided from the recess 42 of the shift rod 33 into the recess 43 of the shift rod 34
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the ball 36a of the shift finger 36 initially presses against the ramp 37. This shift resistance is clearly noticeable when the gearshift lever 35 is actuated, u. zw. Greater than the switching resistance of the locking notches 38 (Fig. 1). For further switching to the switching rod 34, a greater switching force than normal must therefore be applied.
In doing so, the ball 36a overcomes the overrun ramp against the force of a spring 45 (see FIG. 1) pressing the shift finger 36 downwards and reaches the desired recess 43. Thus, there is a safeguard against unintentional engagement of the reverse gear and the locking position (pressure point point 46 in FIG. 3), especially when changing gears between forward gears while driving.
In the further FIGS. 5 and 6, a section of a transmission is shown in which, for shifting at least the reverse gear, no sliding sleeve as in the transmission according to FIG. 1, but a sliding gear is provided, and the like. The part of the transmission which effects the reverse gear and the locking position is shown, whereby the rest of the design of the transmission can be similar to FIG. A countershaft 50 carries a spur gear 51 which meshes with a spur gear 53 seated on an intermediate shaft 52. A sliding wheel 55, which is non-rotatably but axially displaceable on the output shaft 54 of the transmission, is out of engagement in its central position; in the left end position it meshes with the spur gear 53, in the right end position with a gear segment 56. The latter is screwed to the gear housing 57 by means of screws 60.
The shifting of the sliding wheel 55 is brought about by a shift fork 58 which is fastened on an axially displaceable shift rod 59 parallel to the output shaft 54. The shift rod 59 corresponds to the shift rod 34 of the transmission according to FIG. While in the left end position of the shift rod 59 the reverse gear is effected via the spur gears 51, 53 and 55, in the right end position the parking lock is engaged, i.e. H. the output shaft 54 and thus the drive wheels of the motor vehicle are blocked via the shifting wheel 55 and gear segment 56.
Finally, FIG. 7 shows a further variant for blocking the output shaft, with only the transmission parts for the reverse gear and the blocking position also being shown. A switching rod 65 corresponds in principle to the switching rod 34 in FIG. 1, but with the difference that according to FIG. 7 the locking position is effected in the left end position of the switching rod 65, and the like. between the fact that a sliding wheel 67 which is displaceable on the output shaft 66 but is arranged in a rotationally fixed manner is in engagement with a gear wheel segment 69 fastened to the gear housing 68. In the middle position of the sliding gear 67, the neutral position and in the right end position of the sliding gear 67, the reverse gear is switched via a gear 70.
The sliding wheel is moved from the switch rod 65 via a bush 71 and levers 72, 73 and 74 fastened thereon. A pin 75 fastened to the lever 72 engages in a guide groove 76 provided on the bush 71. The levers 72 and 73 are rigidly connected via a shaft 81 mounted on the housing 68, while the levers 73 and 74 are articulated (joint 79). Finally, at the free end of the lever 74, a shift fork 77 is articulated (joint 80) which engages in a guide groove 78 of the sliding wheel 67. The levers 73 and 74 are designed in the manner of a toggle joint, so that when their pivot points 81, 79 and 80 lie on a straight line, the locking position is reached, the position of the levers preventing the locking position from being unintentionally canceled.
Furthermore, the engagement and in particular the release of the locking position can take place with considerable force without the required force to be applied by hand becoming too great because the levers increase the engagement or release force compared to the force applied to the shift rod 65.
